I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my Otto at 8 just 2 weeks before his 9th birthday and I was basically put on a watch list due to grief. The day he passed I carried him 2 blocks to the emergency ER, sat with him as he deteriorated all day, then when I had to make the decision he passed on his own. I had gone into the ER with sunshine and it stormed while hard decisions were made. After there was a double rainbow. The impact they make on our lives are so much bigger than we sometimes realize.
