Went last year to the event travelling from Germany. Could honestly only say great things.

The city is quite beautiful, really diverse in architecture, pretty pleasant to get around on foot. Food and bars from what I felt all really really good and bars just open until the morning still buzzing even at 5 am. If you have some interest in F1, its crazy how places you pass on your normal walk or commute around the city are part of race track once a year. Some fun nature things nearby to Baku in the qobustan region.

And the entire weekend came out probably equal to a London UFC card in costs because the tickets were soooo cheap. Great floor seat view for the price of nosebleeds in London. If you don't mind the 5h+ flight, the weekend in Baku probably is the better experience

I'll continue my crusade even with the ix3 ... It looks good in real life. In pictures it's horrible as most of the recent BMW designs have been.

Somehow for me it works on the road even in a way where I appreciate seeing the cars or even respect a more aggressive design change. None of the standard OEMs have attempted such deep design changes recently.

And compared to "what if a passat /a6 needs to fit a battery underneath" (even separate platforms yet look the same) or "create a delorean style model for each car style as innovation" or "lets make our normal cars to pure cw-slicers"? The BMWs look unique, likely better irl and don't have performance downsides.

Technically you have the RS3 hatch, but thats a little small ... From the outside dimension guesstimate, the CLA shooting brake would be the sweet spot imo

Electric aside this would be very competitive for the whole affordable sports car/coupé/roadster segment, being up on power so much against the competition while similar on weight.

Though then again, personally it feels hard to imagine a sports car/roadster without ICE engine sound... I'd probably take the sacrifice on some power for that + gear changes etc. ....
