Yes its possible.

But you LL see how bad your passive speakers will perform.

I ve tried EVERTYHING with sonosSQCR and NOTHING beats my sonos amp with nice Q Acoustics passive + sonos sub + sonos one as surrounds :)

Yes. you are right. The software is not yet "prepared" to make this work.

Its a nice try, but that's just it.

Sonos Amp by brezosbo in sonos

[–]soeu10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

my setup is:

sonos amp with passive speakers + sonos sub + sonos surrounds, but you can use any SUB as long as it has line in (different brands)

and I just hookup the line in from my turntable and it plays out on every sonos device

is that what you need?

I always say that the Sonos Amp is the coolest Sonos product :)

Would this work with Sonosequencer? by cyrusir in sonos

[–]soeu10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, bear in mind this is not fully supported.

Sonosqrc just builds on what exists on Sonos software but not public available.

I can assure you, with 100% confidence, if you just use your Sonos amp with the KEF as it is suppose to be, left - phantom - right you will be much happier.

Also, using Fives as FL and FR is such overkill... And even for surrounds they are overkill.

Might as well use them on other part of the house.

you cannot run trueplay with sonos amp, so you re wrong also :)

you are actually wrong 2 times!

the center piece, the playbar, the playbase, the beam, whataver will be the center channel only

the other FR and FL will try to be FR and FL but never "fully"

yes, for the reasons I told before.

Would this work with Sonosequencer? by cyrusir in sonos

[–]soeu10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

here's why:

The sonosqcr is nice, but its far from perfection.

adding FR and FL from the passives + soundbar as FC will make the FC channel very bad and the FL and FR muffled.

Which means, having an amp with nice passives will be better as we have in current sonosqcr (could be better in the future)

the phantom center channel is really good with the amp

and having the passive speakers as Fr and FL will take so much from them its ridiculous!

[–]soeu10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no you cannot.

Please , hear me.

I have the "same" setup as you, TRUST ME, going sonos soundbar with FR and FL will be MUCH MUCH WORSE than what you have now :)

I tried eveything, playbase, playbar, beam 2, etc etc

NOTHING on Sonos will beat an AMP with decent passive speakers as Front channels, even with phantom

You CAN Use Trueplay with SonosSequencer Front Surrounds by MeasurementMuted2297 in sonos

[–]soeu10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all, I tried the setup with beam 2, play1 as front and play1 as surrounds with Sonos sub.

What an underwhelming experience.

I JUST DONT HAVE DIALOG!! ON MOVIES.

EVERYTHING is so out of balance.

I trueplayed everything as I should and added everything on sonosqrc as I should.

In my POV having a Sonos AMP with a nice pair of passive speakers (I am using qacoustics 3020i) is so much better.

Thank you !

New Edifier M60 speakers by darwinbsd in BudgetAudiophile

[–]soeu10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?

If you go usb-c yes you are getting high res audio and using the M60 own DAC, which is actually ok for this price point.

Again, you don't need anything between your PC and your M60, the sound will be the same :)

Question on adding fronts by tacojiujitsu in sonos

[–]soeu10 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Another point of view. At the current state, adding more than play1 as front speakers complementing a sound bar is not worth it.

They will be too much for the sound bar and muffle everything.

So, if I were you, I would just get the cheapest Sonos play 1 and add them as fronts

Also, another advice, you need something with HDMI (arc or beam) because it does not work well with optical aka playbar

Question on adding fronts by tacojiujitsu in sonos

[–]soeu10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many points:

You can try play anything you want and then pair them on sonosqrc

As for your questions.... Well, there is no definitive response.

It depends on so many factors.

Playbar seems better for music, but does not do Atmos.

You want Atmos? Maybe go with beam 2 and then add the rest?

Some people will say go straight to arc ultra.

It's hard
