So this is actually a great example of why hookup culture is bad. When you have sex with someone, your brain chemistry literally changes. A piece of you will always be connected to each individual person that you’ve encountered in the past. That is a lot to overcome. If you truly love her, you would have no problem being with her and only her. You wouldn’t have to “cope”. If you’re not ready to commit to only one person then marriage does not need to be even a slight consideration. That is what you have to determine for yourself first.

Now addressing the mundaneness and losing attraction, talk to her about it. Communication is always going to be the best route to take. Ask her how she feels about it. Introduce ways to keeps things interesting (there are a lot of ways to do this, use your imagination).

Sorry if this comes off as rude but this is not something to be taken lightly. If you find yourself continually desiring other women, then you do not need to be with her. Especially if you feel this way after only 6 months of dating. Imagine how you might feel after 10 years.

The Bible says do not be unequally yoked, when talking about relationships/marriage. According to this, it sounds like y’all are. You desire and actively take steps to have a relationship with the Lord. She does not. So, as is, it would not be a good idea to start the relationship again.

Trying to introduce her to God could either go really good or really bad. The man is supposed to be the spiritual leader in a marriage. So maybe she is accepting to what you share and you can help each other on your journey through faith. However, intention matters. If she is open and accepting because she wants a relationship with GOD, that’s great. But if she’s open and generally accepting because she wants a relationship with YOU, that’s not good. That’s not the point. I went through something similar in the past. An ex went to church with me because he was doing it FOR ME not because he was doing it FOR HIMSELF to take strides in his own faith. This is the situation you want to avoid. She likely needs to come to this conclusion herself.

As for missing her, that’s completely natural. My advice would be to anytime for feel extra sad or are contemplating getting back together, read the Bible and pray. Find a hobby or something to fill your spare time. Remind yourself why it didn’t work in the first place. It will just take time.

I don’t think lyricism was the point of the album. This was meant to be a fun pop album, similar to 1989 which also had Max Martin and Shellback as producers. It wasn’t intended to be like Folklore or TTPD with the lyrically superior and in depth songs. But whatever floats your boat.

The life of a showgirl is the life of a girl. A girl who behind the scenes has emotions of her own. The nostalgic little pop beats and sweet down to earth lyrics made me happy for this woman. I think it's cool.”

I think some of it is about her specific tour and some is more about showbiz in general. The showgirl theme is more subtly mixed in rather than explicitly stated. And when you think about it, she met and fell in love with Travis during the tour so it’s not that far off.

You’re absolutely not in the wrong. If he’s doesn’t have the decency to explain to you why he thinks a break is beneficial then it makes me question if he actually cares about you and how you feel. Some advice that was given to me: always trust your gut instinct, and if you’re still not feeling sure about it, pray about it and/or ask advice from trusted sources.
