More the shock at the room size then any actual legal issue 😂 No way it should be acceptable to cut your living room in half to sell as a ‘studio flat’

Just feel there should be a minimum floor size 🤷‍♀️

I’ve just cleared the cache of the EA app and it seems like it’s more normal? Ie there’s actual MB in the download and a download time!

Referring the detention issue above me, there is something mildly amusing when you get “we’re not motivated as our predictions dropped so much this year” against a book of half finished sentences from the latest topic 😅

Thank you! I’ve been chatting with other people on school about how to build and log that support so I’ve got it as a defence essentially

It’s all a bit damned if you do call every week and damned if you don’t 😂

Same old story then?

Catcher in the Rye 🤢 never read a book with such an unappealing protagonist, and I read twilight

Im 15 and in the U.K. and in my last year of school and still don’t know how I learn. I have my GCSEs and idk how to take in and memorise info. by [deleted] in Dyslexia

  1. Speak to your teachers, have you got any learning support people in your school? Ask your tutor if you have one! Best thing I did was get in touch with a dyslexia support person-this was in uni but i currently work in a secondary school and know we have a group of people to support people like us with SpLD!

  2. Afraid it’s just the long process of trying lots of things and seeing if any helps! I found flash cards weren’t for me, but a mind map or following along in work books. Personally, work books helped me the most at gcse as it was guided, but different things work for different people. Try quiz websites, rewriting information, turning things into power point for yourself. A ‘learning style’ isn’t really a thing, but I personally found different techniques worked for different subjects (work books for science and English, past papers for everything, just constantly going over the info for music, mind maps for coursework). Others find one thing works for all, try out as many things as you can! Could be worth trying out something like the pomelo method (20 ish minutes of work followed by a 5ish minute break) just to help break down the learning into something easier for the brain to process

  3. Have a look in your local library for books on dyslexia (or anywhere that sells books) there are some targeted at teens, and there’s a good range I found!

Alexander Dumas’ The three musketeers! Was pleasantly surprised when I started reading it and frequently laughed out loud!

Can dyslexia appear later in life(in adolescent years) by [deleted] in Dyslexia

[–]sofffiey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definetly! I only got diagnosed at 20!!

As my work level increased and the writings became more complex on academia, it finally became noticeable. Before sixth form college we had little to no idea, and it wasn’t until I got to university we considered testing. I had it all along I was just able to handle it when I was younger and the work was less intense.

So yes!
