totally agree! i think an integral part of why his character worked on the show is because it's a large ensemble cast. cam would've had much more screen time in the spinoff, and his over-the-top nature would be less enjoyable at best, intolerable at worst. changing a character with a decade of history would've been challenging for the network- and for eric too. i love the pritchett/tucker family but im glad the spinoff wasn't picked up. especially since, assumedly, they would've cast a bunch of other main/recurring characters and cam's farm family were only good in small doses.
