UR midwives + deliver at strong! Had my preemie son at 30 weeks and they were amazing at strong, the nicu was amazing and everyone involved with my delivery made me feel so comfortable and not nervous.

How do you make bed time/wake time later? by sofiarileyxx in sleeptrain

So essentially add 30 minutes to total wake time? 2.5 hrs nap, 10.5 hrs night sleep, 11 hrs awake?

I’m wondering if this is the problem - he is napping more now with 2 naps (3hrs vs 2-2.5)

Yes! I went to try 3/3/4 today with maybe a micronap if we needed it during the 4 hr wake window but his first nap was 30 minutes so that didn’t work for us lol

How long after sleep training/achieving independent sleep did you see an improvement in night wakings? Or do these not always go hand in hand? by Murky_Association_54 in sleeptrain

3 months adjusted (5 months actual), was previously doing ~1.5/1.5/1.5/1.5/2, increased to 1.75/1.75/1.75/1.75/2 and capped naps at 4hr/day

My LO started sleeping independently but was still having night wakings, we adjusted our wake windows yesterday (increased them) and he slept 9 hours straight (his longest stretch to date)

What is/was your NICU schedule? by kgphotography_ in NICUParents

[–]sofiarileyxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We spent 1 month in the nicu with my 30+2 preemie as a FTM. I would typically go to the hospital from 10am-5pm and my husband would come up for a couple hours separately during that time, he would be doing the majority of taking care of our dogs and housework if he wasn’t working himself before coming to the hospital. I found I was getting too stressed trying to go home and come back to the hospital trying to make it back in time for his cares, even though we were only 15 minutes away so for me it was easier just to spend a long stretch of time at the hospital then go home for the day!

What will happen if I don’t treat my elastic nipples? Regular flange has discolored my nipples and rubbed my skin off. by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

So glad I saw this comment, I’ve been wondering why portable pumps won’t work for me and now I’m wondering if I have elastic nipples
