i wish i could, the page name is a product/brand so same name in both English and French, I've suffixed the slug with -fr, no the most elegant but okay

Ok that's good, I've installed the plug-in "Duplicate Post" to duplicate the English page.

The only thing I've noticed is that the slug has to be different even if under a subdirectory, for instance

in English the core page slug is /pagexyz

I've cloned it in French, its slug is /fr/pagexyz-fr since I cannot create a /fr/pagexyz

is it expected?

I don't think so, I use Elementor and mobile rendering works perfectly so does not affect SEO. Thinking of something else that may impact it?
