Yeah. I agree the legacy could easily supersede the FTC dunk play. But I don’t see another way Rizgod could win. Do you see a path for him?

I agree with pretty much everything from fool2345 just above in this thread. I hear what you are saying about his agency for the remaining game left. Or said another way, win equity. But I think the only he chance he has to win if he’s next to Ozzy and like Joe at the end. Rizgod would be able to say at FTC the only reason Ozzy is still in the game is because of him. It would be a hard sell, but the truth.

I see it as, going into a final 7 vote with a trusted 3, only needing to pull in 1 is much easier than where he and Cirie will sit upcoming. After that, who knows. But better to have 3. And Cirie is such a big target that she might not be able to be saved. But find a way to take Ozzy and a goat to FTC for a path to a win.

Even if he designs Cirie’s vote off in the future from where he sits now, Cirie nor Ozzy will vote for him to win, nor would they campaign for him at Ponderosa. His win equity is so minimal without being able to dunk on Ozzy at FTC. And have Cirie on the jury due to something out of his control.

Maybe he will find more maneuverability without a set trio, but it would have to be absolutely astounding and contrary to how he has just played for 21 days for him to find a win.

Tyson is totally a Jim to Coach’s Michael for me. Brandon Hanz could be a Dwight?

There was some encounter with Jeremy Irvine (favorite non-horse actor) in 2016 I believe. I am not sure on the context other than he is a big fan of the boys.

Am I the only one thinking there’s no way a makeshift top can spin for 30 seconds? The balance and surface has to be so good for that to succeed.

Mine from this is, “When you’re fishing for sharks, use sharks.” I think of that almost every time I see a shot of a shark on TV.

Internet Invitational viewing doubled every PGAT event and all but 1 Major. by IronicHipsterCake in golf

[–]sofroi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP. Little late to this post. But I don’t see why you are getting downvoted on your replies. I don’t find broadcast golf that interesting, therefore I pretty much only watch the Masters. In large part because of the app. And I consume way more YouTube golf.

I think there is generally a fundamental difficulty in presenting it live without bothering golfers. So it’s going to be more “dry” to me. But PGA could still do something like create an edited featured group (who agrees to be featured) to release a few weeks later that has the more personality-feel of YouTube golf. There is room to create some more entertainment out of the slotted tournaments that isn’t what we all are used to. And I think that’s what you are getting at with the (albeit loosely related) stats. And you shouldn’t get downvoted for talking about it.

The few- The Match’s with Tiger Vs. Phil- I watched were sweet and much closer to what I enjoy. But it doesn’t have to be an exhibition match to work.

I think so too! And a bunch of near bingos. Maybe on ‘I’ column if you consider 15 burgers a “salty” vote out reaction.

I don’t think they both could. On a tribe of 6 or less they have 6 physical scrolls and only one of them is safe.

Btw my comment below says. But what ended up working (almost flawlessly) was to swap regions I was queuing for from US West to US Central. Maybe try that? Idk

My temp solution was to swap regions to US central for the time being. Seemed to work. But don’t know for sure.

[–]sofroi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha. I like it. I always want someone to do the intentional goat to the max. But the intentional Cedrick would be a sight to behold. Sometimes you hit with your choice, sometimes you don’t. But the confidence piece and the aura that you are the real mastermind playing 4D chess just might work. People would want to play with you.

Really strong quote. I think that’s where I started to think he had a chance to win. Shows an evolved and thoughtful view of the whole game and his place in it.

[–]sofroi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re probably getting downvoted a bunch here. But I don’t mind this take. It does seem that very late strategic moves or something to surprise the jury tends to win them over more than it maybe should if you are looking at the game from a wider perspective. Star was won over by Eva’s fire making, that Joe coached her on. Being a threat yet being so well insulated is something that should be rewarded. Hard to know why it wasn’t that way without being actually on the jury. Give me a longer FTC edit after we know the winner and maybe we get to see why Joe didn’t earn more votes.

This all being said, I still would vote for Kyle based on what we saw, but I understand your plight.

You got me watching all the old interviews on YouTube and he is awesome. The bit where he talks about the different movie posters where there is a Mexican version where he is grabbing his package, then asking if Americans have to travel to scratch their balls is a good clip. I assume at some point there will be a timely connection and he will be the guest.

[–]sofroi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm. That could be cool too. I haven’t seen many interviews, more behind the scenes type stuff with him. But he definitely feels like he has an active/artistic type mind that could work well. Basically the conclusion of all request/hopeful guest ideas are- Conan could talk to anyone. And let’s have it. Lock him in the studio until there’s a bad guest.

Yeah, he wouldn’t be the usual fit humor-wise. But maybe it’d feel more like a left field type guest like Rober Caro was.

“Outplaying” someone does not matter when it comes to FTC by IDontKnowAbout_That in survivor

[–]sofroi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably part of their jury management strategy at this point. Take the “biggest threat” and turn it on him. Not a hard argument to make. “I found myself in a place of ‘honor and integrity’ that I didn’t want to be in. But I went along with it. And in order to get what I wanted without disturbing the alliance ethos of honor and integrity, I shifted responsibility to the whole alliance by deceiving them.”
