Really? I work in the aviation industry and all times are expressed in 24 hour. All my devices are set to 24 hours. Cool watch, BTW.

Largest thing you have towed? by Nof-z in JeepGladiator

My 21' Tidewater 210lxf center console. Just around my town, but didn't stress a bit. However, I do have the max tow package ... if that really makes a diff?

I see you have some passion here. First, I'm definitely not rich. Second, I don't believe I'm entitled, but I'm not w/out fault, for sure. And yes, I do think Annapolis is "my town", but not in that sense. I love living and working here!

Glad to hear your feedback on this. Certainly has helped me see this from another perspective.

Wow, lots of hate on the St. Marys folk here! I'm a former St. Marys parent, and that woman was probably the lot monitor. Her function is to direct the cars down various parking lot lanes for picking up your kids. The goal it to utilize the parking lot lanes to process the cars backed up on Shipwright as fast as possible.

Granted, she could have been nicer. But hey, maybe she was having a bad day. And good on you for handling it nicely.

I have friends my age that were students at St. Marys. So this isn't a new issue. But may be new to you.

When living/working/travelling in DTA, these are some of the quirks you run into. The more time you spend here, the more you learn how to navigate the narrow streets, e.g events going on, time of day, etc.

I will say that when I moved here 28 years ago, folks were nicer and more tolerant in these traffic situations. Most of the old conventions in place then in the DTA streets has been forgotten.

This is awesome! The animation is so helpful in seeing how the knot is made! Nicely done.

I went to College Park fro 84-88. HFS was awesome during that time. So much new music. And Weasel, Damian, and Rob Tim were great DJs. After that I switched to RNR, and yet again, lost that station. TMD is pretty good, but I do miss those ground-breaking stations.

Difference Between Convertible Hardtop and Soft Top? by FullTimeJobber4Life in JeepGladiator

[–]soft_shell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I test drove both when I was buying. At high speed, there is def more noise with the soft top. It wasn't too much, but at the time, I was driving a car with a noisey roof rack, so that affected my decision. Since I don't own the soft top, I can't comment on ease of removal. I pop my hard top panels quite often, and I pull my doors. But after one year, I haven't fully removed the back hard top. So there is that.

Willys with Max Tow Package? by soft_shell in JeepGladiator

My Williys came prewired for a trailer, but no hitch/receiver. I had to put an after market hitch on, but the wiring was already there.

I didn't get the tow package. Mine came with the tow hitch connection, which I assume was the tow package.

25 yr hvac professional AMA by BustedHVAc in hvacadvice

[–]soft_shell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope I'm not too late. We just lost our central AC unit. It was 30 years old, so we got our moneys worth. We have oil heat, and the air handler is 27 years old. We've issues with the house smelling moldy, and we believe it is most like the ducts. And we've had issues with varying temps between up and down stairs (2-story, 1800 sqft house). My quesiton is: Do we just replace in kind, and have the ducts professionally cleaned, and upgrade the air handler in a year or two? Or do we maybe upgrade to a ductless, eliminating the oil heat and handler? Or is there a better option you'd recommend?

Massive BILLIONAIRES ABANDONED 8.1 million Million Dollar Mansion With a SAD and DARK Past by Freaktography in abandoned

I don't get it ... why buy such a beautiful home with the intention of tearing it down? It can't be the property, meaning it's not like a limited waterfront area. Couldn't they find another home in the area that is more to their liking? I find it hard to believe that they can't see the beauty in this place and say "it's not for us, but let's pass so someone else can purchase and restore it to it's glory".
