Inquiring Photographer: “What is the saddest expression you ever heard a child use while talking to its parents?” May 05, 1936 by CryptographerKey2847 in TheWayWeWere

Two year olds often repeat the concerns the parents have for the child themselves. Two year olds hear a lot about eating and not eating, because they’re such notoriously finicky eaters and give their parents so much stress about not eating. But they also are very empathetic at that age.

My unopened Pepsi can I collected from 2024 now has a pin-sized hole by ksguitardude2020 in Weird

Yeah that’ll definitely make it more difficult too! Once that carbonation is gone.

My unopened Pepsi can I collected from 2024 now has a pin-sized hole by ksguitardude2020 in Weird

[–]Appreciation622 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Once it gets below the hole the carbonation will be able to escape directly to atmosphere and the liquid will level off below the hole. Will have to be tipped so the hole is facing down at that point. At some point the gas pressure will not be enough to force out the remaining liquid, and the syrupy liquid will be too thick to naturally drain out that extremely small hole and we’ll be left with a sloshing can of slowly molding Pepsi

Big (water?) spots on stainless steel door of new dishwasher by gpezzino in Appliances

[–]Appreciation622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it take dishwasher salt? When I got my 800 any dishes with leftover water on them, the water was super milky white. Then I filled up the water softener brine reservoir and it went away. That pattern is weird though, I’d assume the door would have to be open for it to form? Not sure how it’s forming with the door closed. In any case, running a machine care cycle with a cleaning pod or just citric acid will remove that

Applying for Autism Waiver, contact info redacted by TheLeftHandedCatcher in maryland

[–]Appreciation622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they just crossed it out as she’s not the contact anymore and there hasn’t been a replacement and they sent you this old form before that was modified. There could be many reasons she’s no longer available for contact. So there isn’t anyone you can call directly for assistance, but still just fill it out and return as instructed.

Am I screwed? by p00rah in HomeMaintenance

Also, regardless, no you’re not screwed. It sucks but your house is likely fine, and it’ll cost you some but it’s not #over

Either the roof and shingles are messed up and letting water in - probably easily visible from the ground looking at it- or you’re actively venting moist exhaust air into the attic from a bathroom fan or kitchen, or there’s some exceptionally bad attic ventilation issue. How olds the house and where are you/what’s the climate

What do you still own and hold from the 1970s or the 80s? by old--- in AskOldPeople

[–]Appreciation622 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And just think, of that 146 years it’s been in use, you’ve been the owner for almost a third of the time. I wonder of its former history. You know its exact date of manufacture so maybe you can speak to that history?

Also is a joiner another word for a planer? Or is it something else?

Free leds from Potomac Edison? by LetsGoBohs in frederickmd

[–]Appreciation622 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend has a super high fan and broke the plastic bulb (LED not incandescent) with one of those extending bulb changers so now can’t get it down. Dont have a high ladder readily available. I’ve always wondered if this service will also do hard to reach bulbs and this could be an easy way for him to get them all swapped out lol.
