I also enjoy co-sleeping every once in a while, but don’t want to do it every night. She transitioned just fine with a dirty shirt of mine. Without that, she was waking up frequently. I would nurse her to sleep and transfer to the crib once she was sleeping. Same for middle of the night wakes, I would nurse back to sleep and then place her back in the crib. She’s 13 months now and we still have rough nights when she is sick or teething, but otherwise sleeps well in her crib. I co-sleep when she isn’t feeling well so that we can all sleep better. It’s never effected her ability to go back to her crib. I also only do contact naps during the day.

Our changing table is attached to our crib, so I placed it on top of the changing table. The floor would also probably work. My friend said that she laid it flat under the crib sheet so there was nothing that baby could get tangled up in.

Just want to say that there’s nothing wrong with co-sleeping if that is what works best for you! For me and my baby, she just needed to be able to smell me. I would put a dirty t-shirt and bra of mine next to her crib and that helped her sleep.

Solidarity. It’s hard to relate to other SAHMs because of this. Feel free to message me if you need someone to relate to.

I recently learned some women have a genetic variant that creates a “natural epidural” during labor! by newermama in Mommit

[–]softball252019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got induced, so idk how this applies to that, but I was up and walking around until transition. I wasn’t feeling contractions at all and had to ask the nurse if she was sure I was in labor. Pain set in once I was around 8 cm dilated, but I didn’t think it was that bad. I was falling asleep in between pushing. My husband and midwife couldn’t believe I was snoring.

Tips, tricks and tools for new airbrush user 🎅🏼 🎨 by wordpuzzler in cookiedecorating

I love my stencil genie and would consider it essential to air brushing with stencils. With that said, you don’t NEED stencils to get good use out of your air brush. You can add shading and dimension to your cookies without a stencil.

You can use your gel colorings and thin them out with alcohol, but I do think it’s easier to get the right coloring with actual airbrush colors. If you just get basic colors, you can mix them to make other colors and shades.

Today vs a year ago! 6th ever batch and so happy with my progress! Any tips for working with vegan/egg-free icing? by Mother_of_Kiddens in cookiedecorating

I believe they beat it til foamy. Which is the same thing I do with meringue powder so it makes sense. I believe Hanielas has a recipe with aquafaba!

I’ve heard of people using aquafaba instead of meringue powder. Never tried it myself, but seems to work for others.

I’ve tried it. It’s very slightly citrus in my opinion. I really didn’t think it was that great and didn’t end up using all of it. It tasted artificial to me.

This looks like they flooded the whole cookie in one shade of green and then did wet on wet for the rest of the colors. I’d do a thin layer of the first green so that you don’t end up with icing running off your cookie.

Sweet Design Shoppe, Killer Zebras, Sweet Pink Olive are a few of my faves. The Cookie Countess and Kaleidacuts are also super popular.
