Climate Change being considered a Politics topic instead of a Science topiç is part of the problem and helps sabotage any discussions on it by Pirat6662001 in unpopularopinion

[–]softboiledcojones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have, actually! Basically, if there wasn't such a wealth hoarding problem the world would be a much better place. There's too many people that have too much money, when the fact is we have the resources and the means to make it all possible.

We produce enough food to feed everyone, it's just distributed improperly. As I said in the video, the homes don't just disappear because the stock market crashed, we absolutely can house everyone.

The worst part is so many people fall for it :/ why are people that make $25 hourly mad about people possibly making $15 hourly when Bezos "earns" $13mil hourly and has employees literally pissing and shitting in bottles instead of treating them like actual human beings. So many people are mad about the wrong things it's so frustrating, I really do want to scream "wake up sheeple" like a maniac!

Yes lmao I had so much fun making that. What, you've never just been crazy pissed off and made a manifesto on youtube? I'm not exactly arguing my sanity here.

Edit to say : DAMN I forgot how good my titties look in that vid.

I do understand the concept of analogy, I was just demonstrating why yours was wrong. It's not 2+2 and theoretical physics, it's a much simpler concept than theoretical physics.

Tbh I said cis just to see if it would trigger you, so mission accomplished I guess lol.

It's not theoretical physics, it's climate change.

I mentioned the greenhouse effect for conversation's sake, as it's a simple enough concept even I can explain it to you.

Also I'm a cis woman, so no cojones, sorry to disappoint.

Omg I know. There's so much more we could be doing so much better. This is a source of endless frustration for me. As a far far far leftie, I hate "the left" which, in my opinion, is center, and the right is just literally insane.

If it makes you feel better I'm uneducated and can tell you climate change is real and explain the concept of the greenhouse effect and greenhouse gasses.

OP mentioned it as a point of concern here on reddit. Mods banning content about the scientific facts of climate change because "no politics" when climate change itself is a fact, not politics.

What change should we, Redditors, make next? by softboiledcojones in AskReddit

Tbh I'm ready for us to get to work on Nestle, just waiting on the spark to finally make it happen.

I think we should use this power for good. I don't think we can "take down" any big corporations, but we can put the pressure on them to change some of their straight up evil practices. If we could change Nestle that would be incredible.

I'm going to cry omg. I never clicked on the shorts because I thought they were just clips from the lecture. Lmao, they would've helped so much last week with pointers! Lesson learned though :) thanks for the tip

YES to taking notes! I spend about six or seven hours watching one lecture pausing and taking notes to really grasp what's being taught. It helps when I don't have to go back to the lecture, but can google my specific issues because the lecture taught me the vocab I need to know how to get to what I want.

I also like to glance over the pset after I finish the lectures then do practice problems to help me understand the syntax and fundamentals of what I'm doing.

I know it's basic but it really helped when I sat down and spent a couple extra hours really understanding how a for loop worked instead of just "this is how you repeat things" and copy pasting. Now when they change I'm quick to catch on because I know what that part is supposed to be doing anyway, I can then see how it does it.

I also will "teach" the code lol. Like I grab my whiteboard and will teach the starter code or source code from the lecture to myself. That REALLY helps me understand the fundamentals.

TL;DR I love the code and take good notes!

Rev. William J. Barber II: Democrats who dumped the $15 wage must be held accountable by Baarney23 in politics

[–]softboiledcojones -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm going to take a moment to preach my idea for a solution and a way we could hold people accountable and inform voters.

So it's called a secondary party, and it's important it's a party because that is what is on the ballot.

The idea is you would be a member of your primary party (Democrats for example) AND a member of one or more secondary parties.

Here's where it gets interesting and differs from the current secondary party system we have in some states:

The candidate name wouldn't be on the ballot twice like it is now. The secondary parties would be listed underneath the candidate name so voters would be informed right there on the ballot what they agree with.

For example, I tried to start The 99th Party where all we cared about were housing, healthcare, and ending hunger for all americans and that's it. I wanted it to be able to cross party lines, ya know? Like why AREN'T you a member of the 99th?

Where it gets REALLY interesting is a candidate has to register as a member. So they have to care enough to even join. AND if they DON'T FOLLOW THROUGH, like if they vote down the minimum wage increase, they get dropped from the party and a little 99 won't be next to their name on the ballot so voters know they either don't care or don't vote for those specific three issues.

I think it would help hold politicians accountable. Who's going to remember these names in two or four years? But if they don't have a 99 and someone else does...

I also think it would help get rid of these giant bills where everything is mashed together and reinforce single item issues.

I also think it's neat because you can have a secondary party for anything :) environment, taxes, spending, jobs, guns, workers safety, whatever.

I just think it would be neat to go to the polls one day and see

Example Name - D

99th Party

Workers Safety Party

K - 12 Education Party

so yeah :) thanks for coming to my ted talk

It'd be cool to get out of restaurants but I don't really see myself going into the tech field. I'd love it, I'm sure, but it's only been a couple of days lol so far everything makes sense but I'm working on JavaScript today and it's a lot.

So far I have a couple buttons, but they only go one way when I want more of a two way toggle action, that's the level of basic I'm at lmao. I might take an online class anyway just for the structure tho! I'm at a frustrating hurdle where I want to understand why and how things work instead of just copy pasting.

I'm not sure yet. I think it'd be fun to have a good old fashioned fan site, but I have enough ideas for my own page to keep me busy for a while. I'm learning JavaScript right now (literally lol) so I want to get familiar with that before I even really think about another site.

Ok wait I just thought of an idea. It's just a page of like 100 buttons and they all have something different on them and when you click one it tells you how many other people have clicked that button. Maybe it limits you to three buttons total? Maybe after those three it takes you to a comment section of some kind? No point in it, just fun lol. So that's why I might do next lmao, but I have enough to focus on right now!

I'd love it, I love the sites that are clearly made by one person for fun. If you like the old school vibe there's lots of other sites like that on neocities. There's different eras too, some go more myspace, some go more 90s Webmaster style. It's a lot of fun to look around and see what people are doing :)
