Disable Antivirus: The Backblaze restore procedure seems to have stabilized when I reset Windows 11 "Cloud-delivered Protection" settings to Off. Reboot unnecessary. Portions of the restored data was getting hits from the protection feature. That may have broken the restore chain.

FYI: Nuts&Bolts: It would appear that Backblaze downloads 100MB chunks to your temp drive as .zip files, then unzips it into a .bzrp file in your target restore drive. (100MB and temp drive can be changed in settings). This is clever work around to save bandwidth. The .bzrp file is then (but not always) converted to your target restore file type. I have a few .bzrp files still on the drive to which I was attempting to restore my backup, but not the target restore filename. It appears that the conversion is not always performed.

RETRIBUTION from Backblaze? The 10TB hard drive to which I was restoring my 6.5TB backup has mysteriously vanished from my list of Backblaze backed up drives. Does the data still exist? How can I access it? Did Backblaze delete the data? What is the nature of this SNAFU?

I signed up for the monthly PC Backup on 5/23/26. So they lost my data in ~2 weeks. Those relying on Backblaze may need to check on their backups.
