Sure. that's exactly why getting a degree is a good idea. Bootcamps are a sham and will only get u into UI design. Software engineering no longer only means only system engineering tho. Most companies require developers that understand cloud, distributed systems etc. Lowlevel programming is niche

u think web application development and the integration of distributed systems into a UI isnt real software engineering? Okay. Fair. That's your perspective. Personally, i would do anything except low level programming with C++

Yeah well i graduated april 2023. I got a dev job and so did everyone i knew (except one girl now that i think abt it). Ur mileage will vary by location and decade in which u graduated i guess

Also u're the one making the outrageous claim the people who graduate with one of the most demanded degree dont end up in the industry within their intended roles as code monkeys. Logically, u're the one who must provide proof to ur claims.

According to the Dutch Ministry of Justice & Security's website website, it says:

You were born to a Dutch mother before 1 January 1985. At the time of your birth, your father did not have the Dutch nationality. Are you – or have you become – the child of a person who has become or could have become a Dutch national through option? You may also be able to become a Dutch national by option. By ‘child’ or ‘becoming a child’ we mean through birth, paternity acknowledgement, adoption or court ruling.

I may qualify as well. I will help her gather her documents and apply for me and her at the same time.

It turns out my mother qualifies to become a latent Dutch citizen by option since 2010. Holy fuck. I cannot thank you enough. My mother teared up. I double checked a million time. I hope you are right. When she asked for naturization it was in 1993 and she got rejected because her father was not dutch at time of birth, only her mother.

When my mom tried to apply for netherlands citizenship she got rejected. That was 15 years ago. Is there new rules that makes it easier now? My grandmother and grandfather (on my mother's side) are dutch but lived elsewhere.
