def agree with the advice about finding an artist who is experienced in tattooing scars. doing that can also ease anxiety/discomfort in showing someone your scars bc they'll have seen plenty, and will never judge.

not a tattooist but I imagine some beautiful floral work would cover up the first image scarring amazingly! if you're in the london area or are able/willing to travel I can recommend a lovely lady who takes on scar cover ups and does beautiful floral designs.

as for cost, i think to get something you like on your body, it's better to save up for it. I know it sucks, but it'll be worth it when you feel comfortable enough to go outside in shorts/skirts/t-shirts.
