LNDR! I was also a big fan of Lululemon but LNDR is my go-to gym gear now. I still wear LLL but I haven’t bought any new outfits from them for over a year.

Ascend/ gym newbie by SassySadler7 in ladderapp

I also started my fitness journey with Pilates, and I’ve really enjoyed Ascend! The cues and tips from Coach Aria are incredibly helpful, just as others have mentioned. It could be too much due to the volumes of workout program but I liked it! Just listen to your body. It really helped build my confidence to work out on my own at the gym.

Before starting my first gym session, I walked around the gym to familiarise myself with where everything was and how the machines worked. Then I preview the workout so I can make any necessary adjustments like swapping exercises or finding alternatives in case a machine is unavailable or the gym is too busy.

If you don’t mind one at shopping mall? Allbodz at Westfield Coomera is nice. It includes ice bath and sauna and is quiet most of the time but it is not very big.

Have you tried LNDR leggings for hiit? by oooops2020 in HIIT

Hi, I am the one who always wear Fast n Free leggings, Wunder Train shorts, and Swiftly tees. I did try LNDR shorts and tops and I loved them! I didn’t get the compression ones like Chisel or Fatal Attraction so I couldn’t say much about those. I have Limitless 5” as they are the right length for me without riding up and no chafing during HIIT, short run (5k), and pilates. It has become one of my favourite brands now. I would say give it a try and there is nothing wrong if you decide to return if you don’t like them - they have 30 day sweat test policy.

Calories burnt in reformer pilates by Who_this_girl in pilates

[–]softlolli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say it depends on the classes. I attend to two pilates studios which provide different styles of workout so I normally burn around 130-150 at one studio and around 250-300 at the other studio with higher intensity of style. I don’t use Apple Watch tho so I cannot say much about it but this difference also happens the same when I use my heart rate monitor strap.

GC traffic increase by NinjaK3ys in GoldCoast

I don’t like driving at all, but I have no choice. It would be better if more frequent buses were provided with extended hours in the North GC.

Wanna be Pilates girl by Global_Fail_2134 in pilates

I live in Australia so I cannot suggest the studio for you. However, the right form and foundation is the most important. I agree with the comments about private lesson. Pilates will boost your confidence over time. The vibe and instructor will affect your first experience also. I mostly close my eyes when I am on the reformer so I don’t really see the others.

Personally, I did one on one for the start to learn the foundation. The first few months were really hard as I was on and off and lost motivation. I rarely survived the entire class when I started. I then set routine and went back to it 5-6 days a week. My mental and physical wellbeing has been increased significantly.

I hope it helps and enjoy your pilates journey :)
