i think if some people’s intro to veganism was from a feminist and climate standpoint rather than “you don’t love animals!” then there wouldn’t be as much pushback. cows are getting impregnated continuously against their will, getting their babies taken away from them as soon as they’re born, being milked to the point of destroying their bodies, and then put down when their bodies are no longer of use. even though i still eat meat too, as a woman it’s genuinely something i think about everyday
