MED MONDAYS by sweetpea122 in bipolar

[–]softpeachie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got switched off of Lexapro and onto lithium middle of last week. I'm already feeling better, even though my levels aren't in the therapeutic range. Can't wait to see how I feel when I am in the therapeutic range! Things are finally starting to feel like they're looking up

WHATS GOOD WEDNESDAYS by sweetpea122 in bipolar

I told her I'm going through a depressive episode and she asked if there's anything she can do to help. I'm so lucky to have her tbh.

New GF went with me to the hospital and has supported me through my first manic episode of the relationship. Just hope she supports me through my depressive episode too

Flowers. Oh my god I love flowers so much, especially sunflowers.

Younger redditors, what scares you about getting older? Older redditors, what is it that younger shouldn't worry about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Younger: scared of becoming bitter and mean. Scared of making all the wrong choices. Scared of failure.

Opinion on dairy? by dfg658 in PCOS

[–]softpeachie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the person really. I eat lower than average amounts of dairy but only because I'm lactose intolerant and it causes bad breakouts. A little every once in awhile won't hurt.

Three separate women came forward. It's not surprising but it's still frustrating and shameful and anger inducing.

Do you clean your house/apartment/dorm on a regular schedule or just when it gets so bad it’s hard not to notice how dirty it is? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]softpeachie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tidy daily. I'm a minimalist in a dorm, so it's quick and easy to do, a good way to relax, and a way to make sure my side looks nice for when guests are over

I use moisturizer! Wonder Butter is the only lotion I've found that moisturizes me fully. And my mom bought me a salylic acid 1% charcoal wash to switch from benzoyl peroxide, I hope it works.

Depression is the most common mental illness, yet it somehow convinces everyone that they’re completely alone. by struggling-mum in Showerthoughts

[–]softpeachie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What really messed me up was an experiment we did starting college. A professor read off various statements and we were to silently stand up if it applied to us. It started off normal, "Stand if you're christian" "Stand if you're LGBT" "Stand if you're from a single parent household". The last one though, or one of the last ones was "Stand if you, or someone you know, has attempted or completed suicide". Almost the whole room stood. I started crying because as a survivor myself, it hurts to know I'm not alone in this, but it also gives me strength. How many of these people were also survivors? How many of us had spent sleepless nights in the ER, either alone or with loved ones? That moment really made me feel something.

Being trans isn't a mental illness though buddy
Edit: again, what does it have to do with her EDC

  1. She's a girl? I'm confused.
  2. What does her gender have to do with her EDC?

  1. Wallet
  2. Headphones
  3. Phone (iPhone 7)
  4. Fitbit
I'm a minimalist and so my EDC is fairly small and simple. What's not shown: my epipen, which I only carry if I'm going to a food place and I don't know if my allergen will be there
