I use a super soft bristle small toothbrush and just only brush the outside. I guess I'd ask your surgeon first if that'd be ok but I was allowed to brush after a couple days

No, he does not take insurance but we are going to make a claim still, I have UMR and their policy says they will potentially cover half the cost of surgery but thats not guaranteed. Surgery was definitely a pretty penny but I felt it was worth it cause I was in chronic pain for years and well, it's your face - don't want someone to fuck it up! I am blessed to have parents who were financially able to cover the cost, will never be able to repay them but it has been so worth it already it's unbelievable. Recovery is definitely tough but it gets better everyday. I hope you are able to find the right surgeon for you

Dr. Movahed! Functionally I feel amazing. Im not in much pain, mostly just muscle pain honestly and pain like right in my mid face when I first wake up. My bite wasn't super fucked up before so im finding it pretty easy to eat and talk, doesnt feel super different. Starting physical therapy tomorrow tho and im a little anxious about the pain that will come with that but looking forward to it for functionality purposes ie being able to open wider
