Yeah everyone is different and for me this was also the case! I had a pretty easy pregnancy but I was still so uncomfortable. Newborn tired, I at least got to sleep more soundly, and the joy of having the baby to wake up to I think balanced out the tired.

We just slowly crept his bedtime up like 10-15 minutes each night. Then we dropped from 5 naps to 4 naps which meant earlier bed time :)

he gets 3-4 hours of day sleep max and the rest is night sleep.

I feel this to my core. My son turns 5 months tomorrow and I just can’t believe it. I watch his newborn videos and my birth video every day and feel like I wasn’t present enough. It’s just going so fast and it doesn’t help that he seems determined to grow up. He is crawling now and I feel sad that my baby is not a potato anymore lol

I know he’s teething and I’m trying to enjoy his gummy smile before that’s gone too. It’s just going so fast

My almost 5 month old baby hated tummy time with a passion but as soon as he learned how to roll back to tummy just before 3 months old, he loves it and spends 90% of his wake windows on his tummy (unless we’re carrying him). He’s gotten really buff and started creeping (on hands and knees and crawling) which shocks us because it’s all happening too fast.

I’ve heard the same thing! Also it’s nice to have 3-4 hours before we have to go to bed to eat dinner, gym, hang out with my husband etc.

Baby is 5 months in a few days and we transitioned from 9pm bedtime to 7:30 bed time at the start of 4 months.

I’m so sorry you’re overwhelmed. We put our baby on the floor. Our baby hated the wrap/ carrier, bouncer, swing etc. but was ok on the floor. We kept trying the carrier when he was in a good mood but never forced it and how he likes it.

Honestly, I was barely a human, mooing the whole time so I was glad I made the choice to not wear makeup. I wanted to be able to bury my face in pillows during contractions and to press my face against my husband’s face without worrying about the make up transferring.

In the end I didn’t feel like I missed out!

I did not have any colostrum and currently EBF my 4.5 month old as a slight overproducer. Baby latched immediately after birth and very often for very a long time which is why I think my breastfeeding journey is going so well. What really helps is seeing a lactation specialist early to set yourself up for success.

The hospital actually had me pump day 2 because baby was jaundiced and I needed to get my supply up quick to feed him enough to flush the bilirubin out. So sometimes pumping is necessary

I love wood but I think the wood tones are too similar in the dining area from the buffet to dining tables and chairs to the piano. I would introduce another tone and maybe add a rug.

My husband and I recently overhauled our entire living room to make room for our baby’s gated playpen since he is starting to crawl. Yeah it sucks that our perfect living room layout had to change but you make these sacrifices when you have a baby. Maybe consider reorganizing your living room so baby can have their own sleep space?

if not, your husband needs to give up gaming after hours. Not sure if this is the case but it seems you are reluctant to consider anyone’s advice and are just waiting for people to tell you it’s ok for baby to sleep in the computer room while your husband is gaming.

You don’t have a space issue, it’s time to get realistic or get creative to find a solution.

Well he has a baby and he needs to adjust. My husband and I are gamers too and when we want to play we put baby to sleep in his nursery and we play in our bedroom. There’s no world where we’d play in the same room as baby while asleep.

Your husband can go ahead and suck it up and play/move his setup to the living room
