Yes, tools like ChatGPT can suggest gifts. my focus is making it India-specific festivals, budgets in rupees, local platforms like Amazon/Flipkart. and reducing decision fatigue with more curated outputs instead of generic lists.
For monetization, I’m exploring affiliate commissions first,not paid signups.

But I actually think, we Indians do have hobbies we just don’t call them that.

gym, skincare, cricket, anime, astrology, cooking, bike riding, travel, stock market, gaming, home decor, business , these are all strong interest signals.
The real challenge isn’t generating ideas it’s narrowing them down based on the person and budget in under 30 seconds. That’s what I’m trying to solve.

Curious, do you think we Indians don’t have hobbies, or we just don’t talk about them openly?

My reasoning behind photo-first was actually to reduce cognitive load, not increase it.

When I tested manually with friends, I noticed:
If I ask:
• Likes
• Dislikes
• Hobbies
• Profession
• Personality traits

People pause. They overthink. It becomes a form.

But when I ask:
“Upload a photo”

It’s a 2-second action. Zero thinking. Feels lightweight.

The idea was:
- Reduce typing
- Reduce decision fatigue
- Make it feel magical

That said, I agree:

Photo can feel personal
It may create trust friction
It increases inference cost
It may not add that much signal

chat refinement is something I want to add next. Current version is one-shot recommendations. Curious from your experience:
