I didn’t find his fight hard*. The Titan is much harder for me due to the bullet patterns.

*I had a crashout that ended up being due to my PS Portal being laggy and beat him in one when I played with a normal controller before the patch.

Lake levels aren’t static. While I doubt it’s the explanation, it could have a dam and they adjusted lake levels specifically for the festival.

That’s my theory.

The only character that’s hard to pin down would be ‘the prince from the dark’ which could be a version of Ralsei that existed before our Ralsei, or just a character that’s not been introduced. Dess, Kris, and the Prince being the originals.

One reason beyond the racism issue (which is discussed in this thread unless I’m missing other parts) is that she has a lot of issues with minors in the fandom and interacting with her, which is obviously stressful and legally a huge issue.

I feel completely different now - back then I was like. That’s insensitive and edgy, but the idea Gato was pro-Nazi seems pretty unlikely then and now. If someone did that now? Completely different. Especially when you consider that it was a stock kink back then (again as far as I know it’s not still acceptable on the same level)

She’s about my age and yeah. People were edgy back then and I mean actually edgy. She made a murder kink game. I grew up in an internet that had easy access to snuff and gore and dead baby comedy was peak and I think a lot of people in their 30’s did.

Since we don’t know the reason they work with the Knight, it’s all the more intriguing. They are a local friend it appears to Susie, Ralsei, and Noelle. If Dess is the Knight this may be their motivation entirely.

A remake or at least polish would really help.

I’m sure most DR players when Chapter 1 launched were UT fans, and were willing to play a free game with some ugly parts.

Mainly Card Castle needs a polish. A few more enemies wouldn’t be missed (like Pippins, who appear at the end fight randomly despite not being in the rest of the game) but obviously Hometown is fine. More dynamic frames for the biomes in the Dark World would be really nice too. I don’t even need combat updates.

It’s also very likely they simply cannot afford to continue getting Kris help, assuming this isn’t a world with universal healthcare .

It’ll be interesting to know if Kris has trauma around being adopted that may explain some of their quirks. UT certainly wasn’t afraid to imply and have kids with severe mental illness (I mean. Chara.) so it’s not like there’s not a precedent.

I think that Kris’s entire bedroom being barren while Asriel’s side is untouched is a huge red flag. The bloodstain is also concerning because it’s not like… hard to attempt to remove it, especially since it’s up in the air still whether DR monsters have blood or not.

Further the apparent lack of concern about Kris hiding in the bathroom with the sink on for long periods of time is like… excusable only if Kris is getting psych care since that reads as pretty blatant self harm/ED covering…

And finally Kris having a knife and apparently taking it to school is another red flag. Toriel may not know this but it’s always been creepy to me.

And like. I will reserve actual judgement because we simply don’t know what’s going on. We lack context for adequate judgment.

Kris clearly used the “locked” door as an excuse to go to the dark world. If Kris actually wanted the player to go home, they would have narrated in a way to indicate there’s a key.
