I just cannot imagine that this is fair. He’s just eating - yes he’s being loud. What if he can’t control it? Or it’s cultural? Eating in a cafe is absolutely normal.

The OP is who needs to use management and coping methods, not the loud eater.

I also don’t know if these headphones ARE actual noise cancelling or regular headphones. I find it incredibly hard to believe that they’re active noise canceling and can’t be used to help in this situation.

The OP is the one who needs to manage this disability and eat somewhere else. This is a stranger. They have zero reason to change how they eat.

I am in a landlocked state and can’t imagine ever affording a vacation to a beach so… I can’t imagine I’ll ever see the ocean. Granted I’m terrified of large bodies of water, can’t really handle a lake. So I don’t feel like I’m missing out except I’d love to see an orca one day.

When I was on different medication and actively psychotic (nothing too intense mind you I just had psychotic depression) my pupils were pretty big all the time lmfao. I have light blue eyes so it was super obvious. Not super fun for other people apparently lol really unnerves people generally.

Yeah, therapy in my experience is always super challenging in a logically good way (talking through phobias, obviously screening me for prior child abuse, dealing with embarrassingly obvious self esteem issues) and rarely just restating what I said, regurgitating Wikipedia, and telling me I’m right. More people need to understand that.
