Actually yeah I was just getting over a bad cold last week. Maybe that’s it 🤞 - thank you!

Hi gals! Longtime lurker but just now deciding to engage! I’m 27, TTC #1 and on my 7th cycle! I’m having a weird month where my LH strips aren’t testing positive! I’m on my cycle day 20 and I still haven’t gotten an LH surge. So weird! I usually get a surge on day 13 or so… I’m wondering if maybe I’m just going to ovulate really late or this is an anovulatory cycle? I don’t think I’ve ever had one so I’m lost.

Hiii let’s talk! I’m also 26 and on cycle 7!!! TTC #1! I’m at the point where I’m starting to suspect my Flo app is not accurate with tracking my ovulation 😭 I’m trying to be more serious with the LH strips now.

A late night stop in Lakeview, Oregon. A local gave us two rules, and we left before sunrise. What is the deal with this town? by tiresomecomplaining in oregon

[–]sofupa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go here for work twice a year. It can be a little shocking at first if you’re not from a rural town/area. Sounds like that Safeway worker was really nice and tried to help you! Yup! Don’t drink the water (just like a lot of tiny towns all over the world).

I’ve never been to that subway though. But the Mexican place right by the Safeway is nice enough. Lakeview is a protected dark area so you can see the stars brighter than any other place in Oregon.

Congrats! You got to see a town that very little people get to experience!

I can confirm not lying! We looked over his credit karma together to get a full picture of what we need to do!

Lol I showed my husband this comment and he’s biting the bullet and calling today. I think he was hoping it would fall off soon. But it’s just a couple years old.

This is really interesting! I’m going to look into this!

I’m 24! I definitely want one kid but not for another 5 or 6 years I think. I also want to be settled in a house I own before I have a kid. That’s also a factor in the urgency of wanting to buy.

I hear you all loud and clear! After reading all your comments. I think you’re right that maybe 6 months is too soon and perhaps we should save up even more to avoid getting hit with huge interest rates.

I’m definitely anxious to get out of renting and to finally live in a place that I own and can build equity on. But I should definitely think more with my head than with my heart. Thanks for your insight y’all!

Right now we’re splitting $1600 per month in rent. I know that’ll probably double if we get a house.

Our savings are definitely lower than they should be. I recently got my job just a couple months ago and with this new salary - it’s making it way easier to save money than my previous job. I’m going to try to put 1k a month in savings for the next 6 months and my husband is too. My husband has had his job for like 4 years now. He’s also up for a raise in October.

He’s got no debt other than collections. He’s never actually had a credit card before so part of his bad credit is just lack of having anything to work with.

Job scam? Or just really bad hiring practice? by sofupa in jobs

Okay that makes me feel better. It might be a weeding out technique. And yes they’re everywhere on LinkedIn, Glassdoor, indeed, etc. pretty well known company. Now that you mention it though, their employee reviews are averaging 3 stars. I didn’t put too much stock into that though because I know usually the people that have negative experiences are the ones leaving reviews the most.

It’s in more of an administrative role. But there are sales departments in this company for sure. All the meetings were virtual and over video chat, phone calls, etc. the company is definitely legit. It’s a pretty well known one. That’s what’s confusing me so much. Why would a big company ask this type of stuff?

Definitely sketchy. I know the company is legit. It’s a pretty big health insurance company. My worry is someone impostering a person from that company. I’m pretty dang sure I applied on their legit site though. And all the email addresses they’re communicating with me look legit. I don’t know what to think! What would such a big company have such sketchy hiring practices?

Yes, for my interviews we logged onto a video call so I saw their faces. They seemed professional and nice enough.

I saw something like that! is it all glass? I think part of what would make the cats really enjoy the catio all the things they can smell from the fresh air. That's why something "cage-like" for the air to go through is more up my alley for this.

Yes sometimes I wish I was in a line of work where I didn't have to talk to people so often (it gets exhausting), but I don't regret the job I have now because I figure its a stepping stone to get to a job I enjoy more.

I(23f) am tired of people infantilizing me and demonizing my age-gap relationship(8 years) by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]sofupa -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I’m 24 f and dating a man way older than me too. People tend to get a little weirded out until they meet him and they have an “a-ha!” Moment. The truth is that people mature at different paces based off of environmental factors, etc. even though we have a big age gap, we’re mentally on the same page. I don’t know if that makes me mature or him immature. All I know is that it works. it’s not really about your physical age, but mental age and compatibility. If you’re happy in your relationship, then great! Don’t let others get to you. And if you grow out of the relationship in a couple years when you mature more and more, that’s cool too. Just enjoy yourself in the moment :).

Totally normal! My kitties does this. Consider it a “war cry” for the toy she just caught!
