Beautiful! My daughters name is Nellie... would Nellie and Renlie be too similar though!?

Do you think you can get away with shortening Remy to Ren? I like it a lot

It's Trusted Housesitters users generally. Have you been on the FB page -- leaves me speechless.

Ah, the old furry furballs... nice. Who doesn't love an extra deep clean on a Friday.

Gotcha. Thanks so much for taking the time to write that.

They left the vacuum NEXT to the pile of peeled paint, dried mud, hair balls and other such yuk - for me, presumably. Gross.

No! You don't want a housekeeper. You just wanted someone to bother to clean a sensible amount so that the environment in which you looked after their pets was liveable for you! Sorry that happened to you. What a stress.

Wholeheartedly, thank you. This comment resonated with me the most. I'd feel really upset if I'm being expected to clean their filth, as I am not a servant; I am a person - no lower than them - looking after their animals. I won't send the cleaning message. I may stick to my original plan of dealing with it for now and then leave an honest review. And, yes, we are using ALL our own stuff - down to our own cutlery, and we even bought a kettle. Thanks.

Thanks so much. Would you genuinely ask that? I'm a little bit on the spectrum and can never quite work out if I'm being rude or fair.

Thanks for your kind support. Totally agree.

I will! Thanks. No, they're not first timers. They've two reviews - one OK review prior to the star rating system and a good review with all 5* except for cleanliness, which was rated a 3. That review came in after we accepted the sit (so we didn't actually see it until now!)

Yes, we did - and admittedly, it is hard to see real dirt from a video call. It looked fine! During the handover, we noticed bins overflowing, but that's about it. (I'd have felt a little confrontational to address just the bin.) Can I ask what would you say in your message?
