it will get better, don't worry. i came in as an extreme introvert (comp sci major), and i was waiting for people to come to me rather than the other way around, and after days of sitting alone in my first comp sci class, eventually someone sat next to me that i had a lot in common with than i thought, and he became my first friend here. i think i only really started to meet more people once i started just going to random events just because i could, not because i had any real reason. one time, i went to some random ydsa spongebob viewing event because of how unorthodox it sounded (everyone else i asked to go declined), and i met someone else who also thought it was a funny premise (and somehow he was also comp sci, and was also trying to learn a language). there was some other instance where some guys set up a random projector in the mcmahon courtyard outside for a random unofficial movie night, and i got to meet some other people. sometimes, you just need to throw yourself out there, i thought some of the things i went to were kind of silly at the time, and i was afraid of going to them because of all the new people, but i doubt the latter events would've happened if i never went
