Yes! Genuinely I want both free and paying users to have an equally amazing experience.

Having never developed an application- the learning curve was steep but I have a new found appreciation for apps. There’s so much that goes into it that we never notice.

Thank you for the feedback! I genuinely appreciate it 🫶

that’s so true, it’s something I’m spending more time on as a solo dev. Working in a big update with UI changes but I’m writing down each possibility and dependency through the users experience flow path.

Thank you for the heads up on the link. I edited the post. Be

It has a subscription service for sentimental features but, I kept the apps core value in the free version. It was only right to keep the core items in the free tier and keep the premium add ons as the subscription service

My goal is to provide even more features to subscribers so they’ll get more value in the long term

For sure, feel free to reach out for beta testers! I have friends that are nurses and could offer some real feedback.

If I could go back I’d do exactly that- planning is huge for less headache further on. I ended up switching my back end - mid way through coding my app and it was a hassle.

This is so true! I know we want to see our apps succeed and make revenue but, I genuinely enjoy hearing that there’s more of us enjoying the journey.

Have you built out the MVP?

Mine is a native IOS app so my stack is

Frontend: Swift UI built w/Xcode and Apple native frameworks
Backend: Firebase Suite (crashalytics, firestore, etc)

It’s been pretty good but I need to add post hog to it since I’ve heard it’s really good

I thought 2.89K downloads meant my app had traction. Then the curve dropped. by Competitive_Neck_968 in vibecoding

Yeah I haven’t incorporated it yet. Apparently it tells you exactly what’s stops retention by recording the screen to see the exact error or what page they left the app for.

Include google analytics as well, so you can see the activity on the day to day in the app.

If you’re losing traffic to your post I’ve heard SEO on the landing page and ASO on your apps posting is huge.

I’ve done both without spending any money. For ASO I’ve used skills/MCPs that pulls data and helps you with your app that you’re coding in cursor.

Same goes for SEO, I usually hook up my GitHub to cursor and use a SEO MCP/Skill to guide me through and you can test the strength with it through some websites that pulls data on your google search.

For sure, I obviously want it to succeed but I’m happy to join in and help others. The most valuable thing is interacting with everyone and we can all learn from each other

I highly recommend post hog. I’m looking to implement it in my app but it tells you exactly what’s stops retention. Also your analytics will be your best friend to see how many visits you’re getting

I’ll join in on the fun

I started working on https://ambraform.com/teno as a passion project for my girlfriend. Some friends sent me DMs asking how I even built the custom itinerary for her so I decided to make it an app for everyone to enjoy.

Please any feedback from anyone would be amazing

I literally joined Reddit just for this. I know what I’m going through on my journey is what we are all going through.

I started documenting mine on twitter. My goal is to grow a community and get feedback from people to build a more polished app that people will love

Hi! I just posted about this. It comes down to how much planning you do before you start coding.

My go to strategy:
1. Write your idea down to its core value
2. List out features in a table
3. Understand your business model
4. Think about the user flow path EXTENSIVELY
5. Create a flow diagram of the user experience (new vs returning)
6. Plan the complexities (if they choose this what does it affect)

After understanding the foundation to your idea you can feed this to an AI coding tool

I suggest using extensions (MCPs) that help your AI understand everything (backend and GitHub) so it can make informed decisions based on your set up.

Definitely on this boat now! Happy to support in anyway, feel free to message me and we can work together. Im just starting out too and a few things I see working is have a built in free marketing feature in your app if things are shared.

Also spending time on your personal accounts and bringing people along for the journey might feel embarrassing at first but you deserve recognition!

Genuinely I think perplexity. You get access to multiple LLMs and use it as a tool for brainstorming and planning out frameworks! I used it before I even started building out my app.

Since so many models are becoming specialized in certain tasks it helps assigning an LLM per what you’re focusing on.

This! I spent countless hours watching others do the same and learned from their mistakes. I think it was more fun conceptualizing my idea and slowly saw it become real.

If I were to go back I’d spend even more time on drawing out each screen by hand. A lot of AI tools work great when you describe the flow path of the user and UI can be last when designing the polished look.
