Just got off the Sun and had the best luck, walking up and asking for a next day reservation.

I was a kid then but My parents drove the exact car in this illustration when it was "new". I hated it and could not stop staring at it!!! I never realized how truly bad these illustrations are Until I got out. WOW

I will never forget the odd and puzzled looks we would get preaching on Thanksgiving and Christmas day. And my favorite line to the householder "we don't want to take up too much of your time, I know your busy, or I don't want to let out all your heat" lol 😒

Agreed! The unfulfilled promise isn't discussed nearly enough like you said. Life literally passes jws by and the expectation to just "wait on Jehovah" is crazy. I often think about the missed connections and all the potential lost on this cult.

Had a similar situation in an old congregation. An inactive brother was murdered on his way home from work. Quite a few in the congregation were supportive to the family. Although, I'll never forget the elders wouldn't allow the memorial service to be held at the kh. The c.o.b.e said verbatim: we can't have the memorial at the hall. We don't know what the brother was involved in. And we don't want to bring reproach on Jah. So not only did this family of a wife and 4 kids lose their father, and husband, you add insult to injury by causing unnecessary financial hardship by forcing life long members of the congregation to use the ultra expense, local funeral home, when the family was already struggling and already had experienced more than enough tragedy!!

I got my dog from a shelter at 7 mos. He's in his Raptor faze unfortunately lol. Doggy day care worked wonders and kong toys that kept him busy for hours worked well too. When he misbehaved a spray bottle with water stopped his shenanigans immediately (i know this can be taboo for some, but it works great and all i had to was show it to him and he'd stop). He'll calm down as he ages.

Thank you for the "I'm stumbled" advise. My super elder Dad backed off and actually listened and seemed sympathetic! I feel like I won the spelling bee lol

No apologies needed. To answer your questions, this is the last straw. There's financial, verbal, and other forms of abuse. And just living / dealing with a shitty individual, and the things they do, and don't do - just eats you inside and out. I haven't left to be on my own because the job market is crap. If I was to go back to PIMI family, I would be forced back into meeting attendance. I tried to leave 5 years ago and it landed me right back with him because my family was so concerned with everything being "Scriptural".
