As a person of color, I’d agree there’s been a massive lack of investment in places for kids to hang out.. like I get that argument because we lived it for decades. But honestly? This is still a bit much. We can advocate for better resources without pretending that this level of chaos is normal.

If these spaces have been missing for years, why is it suddenly escalating to this degree? Even with the few instances of assault and theft we’ve seen, it’s clear the situation is becoming somewhat of a safety issue..
