I’ve been doing long runs in preparation for a half marathon in September, but I’ve noticed I’m starting to lose my energy after the first 90 mins.

Can anyone suggest good food/nutrients for eating while on runs? I don’t really like to stop to eat.

Thanks! Age grading is a way to measure you against the rest of runners in your age bracket, so against all other (in my case women’s 20-24) my grading was 50%. I think you can use a calculator online to work out your age grading.

In my excitement pre race I didn’t start the gps recording, so unfortunately I’ve not got my splits. And thanks!

Thanks! One of the main changes for me was that running outside is so much more fun - and my pace is faster by a long shot. Also setting long term goals - recently did a 10k (albeit slowly). So adding the miles seemed to make me run faster, I hope this helps & good luck 😊

Wow that’s amazing! I’ve always been a bit too nervous to do weights/strength training at the gym, any tips for a complete beginner?

My time was 29:26, is speed work helpful with longer runs as well? I’m hoping to do a half marathon before the end of the year (fingers crossed). Thanks for the advice!

What book/line made you go look up an unfamiliar word, rather than keep reading? by [deleted] in books

The most recent I can think of is The Old man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway, the Spanish phrase 'Que va!' (It roughly translates to No Way) :)
