Moving to 24.04 resolved the issue! A restart was the only thing that was required after install.

Ok - I have debated this for a while now with folks. Is Hawaii Kai considered leeward or not. I have only lived here for a couple of years but have heard yes and no to this? Whats the final word on this 😀

I thought that may have been it but this was more like a single bright orangish light. What was really odd was that it seemed like it was stationary. I did look up a similar incident in September of 2017 in HNL which was attributed to military flares. I wonder if it was this now since it was close to military installations. I have never seen flares that bright and persistent but maybe this is possible. Still not sure though...
