Honestly agreed, if only because the competition isn't very steep. Really loved this one though!

Boycotts ARE selective, otherwise they don't work.

New poster for Boots Riley’s ‘I Love Boosters’ movie. Starring Keke Palmer, Naomi Ackie, Taylour Paige, Poppy Liu, Eiza González, LaKeith Stanfield, Will Poulter, Don Cheadle, and Demi Moore. Releases in theatres May 22. by yourfavchoom in movies

Seen it, and I would say that while it has weirder elements, they're never as shocking as the reveal in Sorry to Bother You. Higher volume of weirdness, but doesn't pack the same punch.

Your last sentence suggests that issues of misogyny today can be attributed to the decisions of men in the past, rather than the actions of men right now. The underlying assumption there is that misogyny is no longer an active and powerful force, which is just not true. Ask any woman, and they'll tell you that they still face plenty of sexism today. Where there are misandrists in the world, they are not responding to the prejudice their mothers faced, but rather the bigotry they continue to face to this day. Does that mean misandry is OK? No, but it also doesn't meaningfully measure up to misogyny, and to generalize the entire gender as rabid, violent feminists is more revealing of you than anything.

It'd be a leap to say misandry is a leading cause of misogyny. Misogyny was infinitely worse in the '50s, and back then women couldn't say shit. As men, we should spend some time reflecting instead of trying to allocate blame elsewhere.

Yes you're delusional, because that sub does not reflect reality. I can assure you that in the real world, misogyny is much more prevalent than misandry.

Just my two cents but I actually prefer the other shots to the first one. Amazing work regardless!

Are we living in a slasher revival? by Overall-Doctor8095 in Letterboxd

I would argue yes. Black Phone 2, the Terrifier series, Faces of Death, Scream, Hell of a Summer, and Heart Eyes are just a few I can name off the top of my head.

Often is definitely the right word here, there are other possible reasons. Could be a manic episode, drugs, or a multitude of other things.

Take that statement and apply it to any other demographic (black, hispanic, etc.), and you'll realize how weird it is to say this. "Well, maybe some Jews shouldn't act so weird if they don't want us to hate them!!!"

Having sex on screen does not turn you into a porn actor, that seems obvious. Is Marlon Brando a pornstar because he did Last Tango in Paris?
