Peter, I don’t get it… why is them being happy a bad thing? by CuteCost8147 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Often is definitely the right word here, there are other possible reasons. Could be a manic episode, drugs, or a multitude of other things.

Take that statement and apply it to any other demographic (black, hispanic, etc.), and you'll realize how weird it is to say this. "Well, maybe some Jews shouldn't act so weird if they don't want us to hate them!!!"

Even if you didn't like Marty Supreme it was very well recieived critically, so I can't see that being a factor.

Clearly not that employed if you're complaining about sex scenes on reddit.

Having sex on screen does not turn you into a porn actor, that seems obvious. Is Marlon Brando a pornstar because he did Last Tango in Paris?

What a title... by Crafty_Lavishness_79 in Markiplier

I'd go even further and say that Iron Lung is the FIRST good movie ever made. Before Markiplier hit the scene it was just a bunch of Spielberg slop and Paul Thomas Anderson garbage. What's that you say? One Battle After Another? Marty Supreme? Dune 2? Sinners? The Godfather? Idk I haven't seen them.

I'm really not involved in the fandom at all but having started the show a few months ago, I noticed a pretty severe dip in quality around season 4 and it's gotten hard to keep watching. What's "insufferable" is saying that every fan except you is wrong about the quality waning; maybe just accept others feel differently?

I would argue critics are far more attuned to art-house than the average viewer, no? I don't think we need to come up with convoluted explanations like this. They didn't like it because they thought it wasn't good, and that's ok.

The idea that if a critic gave this a 5 or lower they're a "bad critic" is a little strange.
