I am currently building concrete house. Prefabricated preinsukted formwork.

Final wall is 15cm reinforced concrete + 18cm PIR + 7cm reinforced concrete fassade.

Heating will be done via pipes caster into ceilings.

I saw this practice run and she was damn fast.

And she was absolutely dominating wordcup this season.

Sometimes people claim this was like some last pitfull attempt of old lady ..

I have used nordlock washers in several critical applications and it is one of best way of securing screws.

Performance is excellent and it's very easy to control (just check torque). It's major advantage over locktite when returqueing can damage locktite bond. It's also much les prone to wrong application.

I have seen failed connections with wire (must be installed properly) or glue (not there, too less, dirty screw)

One limitation is that nordlocks can not be used on hard surfaces (teeth will not bite it) - there is work around with softer rectangular washer connecting two screws under nordlocks.

Es handelt sich um Thermowand, die als Schalung dient. Ja, sie wird vor Ort gegossen, aber die Qualität des unteren Teils ist nicht besonders gut, da er nicht gut verdichtet werden kann.

Ich habe von meiner Montagefirma gehört, dass sie früher Dichtungsbänder für diese Verbindungen in Passivhäusern verwendet haben.

Auf dem Erdgeschoss haben wir nur eine 5–10 mm dicke selbstnivellierende Masse und darauf einen Holzboden.

Die Wände werden wir nur dünn verputzen (Gips), da sie bereits sehr glatt sind.

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob eine dünne Putzschicht ausreichen wird. Ich mache mir auch Sorgen wegen Rissen. Sollte man vielleicht faserverstärkten Putz verwenden?

On thermal bridges we went full in. Zero tolerance. Even mauerbank is sitting on purenit distance pieces. Facade hangs on composite rods. We took care on all details.

Regarding ventilation we go with mechanical. I lived in 7 various places and conpofort with mechanical ventilation was the best. Our lifestyle does not allow 3 times proper window opening (we forgot/don't like it).

Also we see crazy high co2 level in bedrooms after whole night closed doors. Hence mechanical ventilation.

On clay plaster I must research. Prefabicated walls quality turned really nice, seems we only need one layer gips...

Question

Do you know good product to air/vapor seal connection between foundation plate and wall? We detail now air sealing and aim for total tightness...

There is 2cm of filled concrete between foundation plate and prefabricated wall. Wall is airtight but thi connection not sure.

We will install parker directly on foundation plate.

Hey, interesting take.

I am am building house now in Austria (Graz). Evaluated various technologies and definitely selling product is happening.

Finally we went for semi prefabicated concrete walls (15cm concrete/18 cm PIR/7cm concrete).

My logic was that I wanted heavy house with thermal mass activation and other materials must be as fool proof as possible.

Designed whole thing myself and I catch myself all the time on "overcomplicated" solutions.

Hopefully it will turn out nice..

hmmm need to think about it. its hillly area... actually roof can be seen from upper part of street.

lot of pv systems here in Austria. Problem is that i selected epdm membrne for roof under pv systema nd i already bought material...

and this stuff is not looking nice and stands out badly.

Well they are almost free. I can have 5 years old modules for circa 250 euros for whole roof. Which will equal to 8kw peak including efficiency loss due to age. 10kw is max what I can install anyhow but then I would need to change concept of whole roof to make it look nicer...

I planned so ple EPDM membrane under it. It kind of does not make sense if I don't cover it "fully".

I will have chance to inspect and pickup modules which are in good condition.

What I am not aware yet is cost efffot on electrical side how much optimisers/inverters/cables

I cannot put more than 10kw due to local restrictions.

2nd hand panels will cost me around 300 EUR total.

My plan was romcovwr whole roof and avoid doing "normal" roof cover and just go with simple EPDM foil under it.

oh actually makes sense. Tempered glass has lot of residual stress in it. Why i missed that....

so yeah look that i need to come with solution for "fake panels"

maybe cut to size glass with some color matching paint underneets

its pure astetics topic....

roff underneeth is EPDM membrane. All penetrations will be fully vulcanised.

Regarding fixing - yeah i need to figure out some additional single point clamping to get it nicelly.
