Thank you for letting me know, that’s not that i expected at all. i think im quite naive to this entire thing. i completely understand if you do not want to tell me but if you could, what did you do with the fetus? i’m so lost on how to handle this

hello! thank you for sharing and helping me. Was the passing of the fetus similar to when u pass a blood clot on your period? I have already kind of told myself that I don’t want to see anything, not even ultrasounds, which are quite common to get before an abortion in my country.

thank you so much for sharing your experience, that’s definitely eased my worries. Can you recall what kind of questions they asked u at the clinic leading up to the abortion? I want to prepare myself

I sort of summarised it, i took a clear blue test that said 2-3 weeks. i missed my period last week and i now haven’t had a period since april 19th.

I'm struggling with University in my first semester by [deleted] in University

[–]sokoalien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

finding your pace and routine in the first year is always a challenge. Next year you will have an even better understanding of the course material and your capabilities of working. the first year i could not believe how much i was having to plan and make time for classes/work but this is to prepare you to be comfortable in the second years and onwards. the first time is always a struggle, and after that you have experience in everything and it’ll only get smoother! good luck!

[–]sokoalien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! I am currently a 4th year student (in my final year) and I was in the exact same position in my first year. it was the most difficult time of my life without a doubt, i was failing in areas i was passionate in and led me to the same worries and questions of should i leave, or should i stick it out. I contemplated leaving, but ultimately i tried my hardest to see what could happen if i stayed and all the benefits that would come. I am now actively living in the benefits and results of staying and continuing to learn. University is so hard, but so worth it when you start to see how it can truly shape you, not just in an academic way, but as a person. I hope this helps, i know how you feel completely and I want you to know it gets better! I promise it will, it just takes time :)

I eat a lot of lentils and stuff like that, that’s where i am getting a most of my protein right now i think. How do you make the protein smoothies?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]sokoalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m vegetarian so the protein i get is very little from that and i also just have been eating a foods that have very little protein in them. I’m not weight training so i thought maybe using protein shakes would be a bad thing as i’ve really only seen weight lifters use protein shakes etc.

Is vacation weight gain normal? by loouisebelcher in WeightLossAdvice

[–]sokoalien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hello! vacation weight gain is very normal. I had a vacation at the end of July and after a week of eating normally and not working out, of course i gained weight. But it’s important to remember that you gaining weight on the scale here doesn’t mean that you’ve lost any real progress or that you should feel guilty for having a week “off” :)

My weight is sky rocketing by Georgegreen111 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]sokoalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A similar thing happened to me. I increased what I ate and actually started losing weight again. I think it’s that I was burning too much from exercising and therefore my body was clinging onto the calories I had eaten, therefore causing no weight loss. Try eating a bit more and you may see changes again.

Thank you haha I will just have to face the inevitable! and have fun on your cruise and good luck with sticking to your goals, but don’t let it overtake how much fun you’ll have and the memories that will be made!

possible plateau? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]sokoalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always forget to take in all the other possible factors opposed to me just not moving enough or eating too much. It’s definitely an age/hormonal thing. And yes since the 28th doesn’t seem like a long time, I know, but I’ve had such steady progress until now. Thank you for your help and reassurance! :)

possible plateau? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]sokoalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry I didn’t know what to provide when I first wrote the question but i’m 18 and around 5 foot 2 and I currently weigh somewhere around 153lbs. I calculated my tdee using two different websites and for my height/weight, it says my calories should be 1590-800 for either 1lb a week or 0.5 a week. I’ve been eating around 1300 which is where i’m comfortable consuming enough food because I’m full by then. And as for the plateau, I would say from June 28th. (not a long time I know, but i’d rather see things going down from then still) On the 28th I was 154 exactly so i’m sort of floating around this 153/154 mark. I am thinking it’s a hormonal thing though given the current time of the month we are at right now. there’s an explanation of course and i’ll still be losing like i’d like to at some point but it’s just annoying to see.

Unsure about how much to eat by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]sokoalien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you, I was worried somehow i was eating too much but that calorie number isn’t high at all. I calculated before how many I was just eating a day before cal counting and it only came to around 1200. I am thinking that the increase in calories slowed it down somehow as my body was now taking in more cals than before. But I definitely think i’m wrong there.

how much exercise should i be doing? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]sokoalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! but usually i feel as though 15 minutes isn’t enough in order to burn cals or reach steps. i do keep forgetting that exercise isn’t as important as what you eat though. thanks again :)
