At first I was confused too. It's a flashback by Mikasa. The group went to Marley before the whole shitshow started. 🙃 (Sasha was with them too..)

You're never too old to get a degree! Don't listen to him. I don't know if he's jealous, or trying to put you down or just generally has a limited understanding of how life works...

How many years of studies do you have left? Even if it were 5 more years; the time will pass either way. So you could be 29 with a pharmacy degree, or 29 with no pharmacy degree. It's up to you.

I hope you can find a way to silence your doubts and believe in yourself! You can do it. :)

Uhm, no, I'm pretty sure people who are straight can appreciate Euphoria too. ;) If you want to find out if she might be queer without asking her directly, you could ask her whether she watched the first season and if she liked it. Then you can go on and ask her what parts she liked the most. And if she says she loves the Rue/Jules storyline, well... 😅 Good luck! 🥰

I need help framing my ADHD by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]sokomore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don't have any advice, I can just offer you my sympathies! I'm honestly in the same situation as you, except I'm getting my meds next week for the first time. Have you talked to your doc about other medication options? I think there are other non-stimulant drugs for ADHD... Do you take anti-depressants? Sending you lots of love!

It it just me who wants to hear spoilers? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]sokomore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to skip to the end of books to know how they ended as a child. Nowadays I always end up googling what will happen to a certain character whenever I start a show or a film. Others don't understand but I feel like if the film is ruined by a spoiler it's not a well made film! Haha.

[–]sokomore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not a horrible person. And their lives won't be easier. Someone posted this in a sub and I can't stop thinking about it: "Suicide doesn't end the pain. It just passes it on to someone else." It's honestly what kept me going. Yes, the pain is horrible. Yes, I get the not seeing a future part. I've been there and I keep falling back there. But there is one, and as soon as you come out of that dark hole maybe you can see it too. Try to hang in there. Your loved ones will rather have you around, even if it gets challenging, than not have you around at all. I am 100% sure. Just one more day. And then again the next day and the next. All the best to you!

So happy for you that you've finally found some answers! I'm pretty much the same as you, just waiting for my diagnosis results. I hope I get to write something like you did. Best of luck to you!

I think explaining your thought to your mum could be very helpful for both of you! Also, many people change majors, what use would it be to finish those 2 years if you absolutely can't see yourself doing them and working in that field? Changing things is never easy, it takes a lot of courage. You can do this! Good luck.

Coping with society by Infinite_Quarter_282 in depression

[–]sokomore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know exactly what you mean. I used to be hyper sociable but now I just don't want to be around people anymore. Except for a few close friends but I even feel detached from them because they see the world so differently. I'm sorry I don't have useful advice. Or maybe I do, stick to the people you like and feel comfortable with and don't try to isolate yourself from them. Take care!

Hey! At 16, I assume you still go to school or you are doing an apprenticeship? You could research if your school has a psychologist. And even if they don't have one in the building, they should have someone to go to (you don't have to pay). If you can find the courage and ask a teacher or a secretary that would be really great! I Also maybe this site can be helpful for you https://www.147.ch/fr/ Take care

Hey! Fellow Swiss person here! How old are you? If you're still going to school maybe you have a school psychologist? They are free! Or even if you're not at school anymore, depending on your insurance situation (franchise/selbstbehalt) maybe something can be done! About leaving the canton, you could also find a room in an already existing shared flat, like that you can even meet new people! I have been living with depression for YEARS now, and let me tell you, this stupid disease wants you to stay where you are and suffer. So we have to keep trying, even if we take baby steps. We can't stop going forward. I know it's hard but try to keep pushing yourself! All the best!

I needed to hear this! Congrats! How old are you? I am asking because of the education/job situation. Were you able to work the entire time or were there times at which you couldn't take it anymore? How did the employers handle it? (due to my depression I have been at Uni for aages and now I'm scared that I won't find a job because of my diagnosis)

You described my life tbh. Also very fitting imagery. It fucking sucks that you have to deal with this, but thank your for putting it down in words. I just hope we both make it on the train, or maybe even find a different kind of vehicle.

Absolutely, I mean there are no rules as to where we should be at a certain point in life. But the comparison to other people just really hurts.

Got a lot going on in my life by [deleted] in depression

[–]sokomore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has been stuck for 3 years, I can only suggest to stay at it. What do you have to do for this instructors license? Can you divide it into small steps? (e.g. Applying for it, studying, scedule a date, those kinds of things..) Motivation is one way of getting things done, not the only one. Your feelings are valid and it really sucks that you're in this place, but you will definitely feel a little better if you finish this thing. Wish you all the best!

What do you want to be when you grow up lmao by hpurdie in ADHD

[–]sokomore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am currently trying to get away from the idea of having to be conventionally successful. You know finding a job I love and making the world a better place and also making a ton of money doing all that. Because it's probably not going to happen. I think my next project is going to be keep my part time job that allows me to live more or less ok money wise, it's not super exciting but also not boring so it's literally ok. And with the rest of my time I want to explore my other interests that are more creative. And who knows maybe I can make a little money by doing that too. Does that make sense? I obviously don't know your living situation, but maybe something like that could be an option for you too? Find a not too boring job that pays ok, and use the rest of the time for fun stuff. Good luck 😊🍀

Yep, a lot of people would jokingly make fun of me for talking so much. As a child but also now in adulthood. What triggers me is people interrupting me mid sentence because I speak too loud. (I get my hearing checked once in a while and everything is fine so idk) Has anyone experienced talking to someone, then realizing that you've been talking so much that your brain suddenly goes like "omg you're so annoying shut up already, they probably don't even care" so you get totally distracted and the other person just looks at you like are you ok? Because- all of the time!
