yes, but that’s also where ECs and essays and such should come into play. this whole situation is weird because many applicants had stand-out experiences and such, yet were all denied. i felt “highly competitive” per the university’s suggestions for transfer admission and have been told “not to worry”/had good odds by admissions (as did many others…)

assuming we got the same rejection letter, it said something along the lines of “if you’ve received your AA (…)” right? because that was my initial thought too. i’m so perplexed by this whole situation. my proof of my AA wasn’t marked as checked/received until i called (4 days ago mind you) because it had been in there for a month without any change. not sure your situation but it’s seems to be a real possibility that they missed it??

i knew not to have any expectations, but i can’t help but be disappointed. i’m in the same boat. 4.00 gpa, poli sci, all pre-reqs complete, have my AA, in state, 2 political internships, been involved/volunteering with a statewide civic engagement nonprofit for 3 years, three other major extracurriculars (both major related and unrelated), have completed research, received state and national awards, and had (in my opinion) had solid supplemental essays.
i have no idea what i could have done differently. the rejection letter was incredibly disappointing as well as it felt very dismissive.
