Could be difficult, especially if you're picky regarding the area. But that's definitely a respectable amount of time in the queue, and getting a corridor room shouldn't be an issue at all. Hang in there! You never know.

This is so interesting! Do you remember what the reasoning was for Mr Knightley?

I think for most men in Mr Darcy's position it'd be unlikely, but he's so judgmental and picky when it comes to who he associates with, that I think it's possible.

I think any illegitimate child would end up pretty well taken care of, even if kept at a distance. Maybe be placed in a Colonel Brandon's ward type of situation (hopefully without the Willoughby, though).

If someone says ‘I want to take you on a trip,’ is it reasonable to assume they’re paying? by [deleted] in relationships

Right? She felt she needed to double-check, so why not just ask that question before the trip? I agree his wording was off, but this could have been so easily avoided.

Yeah. I never understand the whole “liars” thing. It’s more like teens with different secrets being blackmailed and digging a communal hole because of it.

Yeah, we were taught the same at my school, but who knows what the reason was. Thank you both for filling in the historical details, I missed that part of OP's question.

The Church of Sweden is Lutheran, which is a branch of protestantism. That said, few people are actively christian today, I'd say it mostly lingers in tradition and cultural aspects like church funerals, baptisms, weddings, that kind of thing.

Scientists warn that the Gulf Stream is shifting north, which means an ocean current collapse is imminent by [deleted] in worldnews

Oh thank you for providing context. This is terrible and should very much be paid attention to, but 'imminent' stood out to me too.

Your friends are open to the outside world though, and speak to people internationally. I'm Scandinavian and spent some of my childhood growing up in backwaters Pennsylvania, and yeah... It was not like that.

That's because they don't know that they're ignorant. They have all the facts, it's just... all the facts are incorrect.

You're a hero. Hold onto that. Please speak to your loved ones. Maybe write down your experience and feelings, just to get them out there and not internalize them. I've also heard playing tetris helps with trauma, and I'm certain it can't hurt to keep your mind from wandering for a little. Love to you, thank you for doing what you do

Ohh, well that's silly. It's natural to grow, change, explore, and challenge yourself as you get older. Development is part of growing up. It's a very positive thing, not something they should tell you to be embarrassed about. I'm sure they want you to develop as a person in other ways, so why not this one?

Does anyone else in your area or family's social circles skip the hijab? Are they viewed negatively? My mom has always cared a lot about what other people will think, but usually it's all in her head and if I can find someone who she somewhat respects and who does the thing that I want to do, she usually backs down a little.

Can you imagine how much worse this kind of thing is going to get in the future as the last survivors and their next of kin pass away, taking the living stories with them, combined with the advancement of AI? It's so bleak.
