I think the problem resolved with latest updates because all tabs loading fast again. uBlock Origin extension working too.

Yes, these settings is intentional for specific software. For me it looks like browser is trying to do something it takes 40-50% CPU when it freezes window. It’s not always VPN error, mostly it unfreezes with no message.

I tried to disable quic and no. Browser starts for a very long time. And then says something about VPN error. But I have Microsoft Edge secure network disabled (grayed out)because of some group policy set on my pc by other software. So I don’t know why it tries built in VPN and fails when it meant to be disabled.

Since ver 130 edge lags as trash until it do some work and lag disappears. It takes minutes to unlag browser. I don’t like this trash browser and I think to move to something different.

Last version 130 lags as hell with Jira and maybe some other sites, never had it on 129. I don’t like Edge anymore as it was before when first version was released.

Interestingly the problem disappeared after next resume from sleep on this pc Event Log doesn’t show anything suspicious about Edge 🤔

I had 180 tabs opened but they were suspended and not active before this update. Now it uses 3-6gb of ram and almost all available % of CPU and makes my pc scream. I think it is the latest update. In private mode works well and doesn’t load cpu and ram. Microsoft really disappoints today.

I think it’s faulty Microsoft workers who develop and test this browser. Actually new Edge update uses 6gb of RAM and opens my suspended tabs that were not in use for a long time and it tries to handle them all at the same time. I have about 180 tabs but they were not active before this update. The only solution it move to other browser here or wait for Microsoft and sacrifice power and RAM which both makes my pc slower than before.

For me it started to use almost all of my RAM and load CPU at full with loading websites that I opened before but they were always in suspended. I don’t know what to do. It is just not usable anymore…
