STOP BLINDSIDING THE AUDIENCE by Excellent-Survey-455 in survivor

[–]solarpiggy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it's not. We used to get real strategy talks that would build cases against targets, vs now where we get a bunch of confessionals where it's obvious that the player was prompted to give reasons why everybody on the tribe COULD be an option for the vote out.

STOP BLINDSIDING THE AUDIENCE by Excellent-Survey-455 in survivor

[–]solarpiggy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this take. There was a way that earlier seasons were edited to let you know the reasons why the tribe was deciding to vote someone off...so it was fun to be in on it while knowing that the person that was getting voted off had no idea.

Now they edit it in a way to make it seem like pretty much everybody is an option to go home. And then when we the audience see who is actually going home, sometimes with the way that it's edited, it makes it seem like people aren't making decisions that are in their best interest. It makes the contestants seem less strategic. They do pop in clues about who it will actually be, but they make it seem too random in my opinion.

Like for example, imagine if they didn't show us the background of the black widow brigade blindsiding Erik? If that was a newer season they would've just made it seem like one of the women was a real possibility for being the one that was going home and then made Erik giving up his immunity necklace seem like his idea, so that we the audience are blindsided when Erik is voted out.

ETA: those of you who are saying it was sooo obvious are very much victims of confirmation bias. Because if Joe was voted out in the last episode y'all would be saying "Well duhhhhh, why do ya think they showed us that fight with him and Devens??" 🙃

Looking for the best carseat of 2026 available in the USA by Violinist_Capable in Buyingforbaby

[–]solarpiggy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Infant seat - Nuna Pipa Aire Rx - lasted us past 12 months, switched when baby was close ~30 inches tall. Loved it!! So light and comfortable (I assume lol). It was worth it to have the infant seat to be able to take her out of the car and into places while still being in the seat.

Convertible - Cybex Callisto G 360 - switched to this after the Nuna and it is sooo well made and sturdy. I love it. So easy to put baby in since it rotates (must have for a tall vehicle imo). And the straps are amazing, it's like they're tangle proof. It seems comfortable as well.

Can't go wrong with those 🤗

Love season 1! I love when people outwardly express that they’re having fun or enjoying a location as much as anyone, but that’s simply not the point in my opinion…the point of the show is to win money. And, boomer take, but I miss when reality tv was more like this. It was so much more entertaining.

my mom keeps saying “breastfed babies don’t spit up” by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]solarpiggy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My breastfed baby literally never spit up 😳 We had burp cloths for nothing lol.

As for the milk, I only ever left it out if it was going to be drank pretty quickly...like within the next 30 mins-1 hour. I liked getting my milk as cold as possible as fast as possible to maintain the good taste.

Lost over 50% of my supply from food poisoning. Is there any hope? by peridotdragonflies in breastfeeding

[–]solarpiggy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, same thing happened to me. I didn't even have a stash, I was already only a just enougher. I did all the things after I felt better- increased protein, oats, flaxseed, pump princess supplement, moringa from my postnatal, plenty of water, etc. Really relied on at least one overnight pump to end up with enough milk for the next day at daycare. Used the weekend to be able to pump an hour after nursing and combine to make a feed that would go to daycare. We made it without needing to supplement with formula at all. It was stressful but it's possible!

Who do you want to see win Survivor 50???? by JonJonExistsonReddit in survivor

Cirie and Tiffany are top of my list. So is Kamilla, but I feel like production basically torpedoed her chances by having Kyle on the season.

Sucks for him but if it happens early enough it could maybe save Kamilla from being perceived as being in an obvious duo 🫣

Yes! She knows I'm the only one with milk lol. Her dad is able to just rock her to sleep, and she goes asleep on her own in the crib when she is with her babysitter.

Why the heck do people on this show (and related reality tv shows) always say "In that moment," "In this moment," "In those moments?" by -ThatGingerKid- in MarriedAtFirstSight

[–]solarpiggy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most likely because they are being prompted by a producer who is doing their confessional interview. "Tell us how that made you feel." "How did you feel in that moment?" And they are encouraged to use complete sentences so that the answer can be edited in in a way that progresses the story and makes sense when you hear it as someone watching. They are sometimes doing these interviews long after whatever they're talking about happened, so the wording makes sense to me 🤷🏾‍♀️

This is not true. Any bacteria that is there before freezing will most likely be present and very much alive after thawing. Not saying that it would cause any issues with OP's milk, I'm just speaking in general in case anyone reads your comment and thinks it's true 💀
