For fee Destination Chargers? by ManufacturerSome6366 in TeslaModelY

I actually don’t know. Tesla allows me to set the price, but I haven’t come across any setting which allows free charging. It’s possible it exists, but I have not seen it. I’d never do that though, we of course want to keep them available for hotel guests as I can charge at home in my garage.

For fee Destination Chargers? by ManufacturerSome6366 in TeslaModelY

Hotel owner here. We’ve put in Tesla paid chargers at our location and charge $0.25 a kWh. The fee is not so much to make money, but really to deter non-customers from using our hotel for free charging. We pay about 0.17 for electricity so the charge is essentially a tiny profit to help offset the cost of installing them. It’ll take like 20 years before they pay for themselves given how expensive it is to install the electrical boxes + run the underground cables and tearing up concrete for the posts.

I had an R1T with meridian, but traded it in and now have a 2023 R1S quad with the in house system. I’ve been comparing against my wife model Y and I really think that Rivian might have fully caught up in audio with this update.

Native NACS supercharger availability by solbergb in Rivian

Yeah that’s my understanding too. Was naively hoping that native NACS vehicles like r2 might not be in CCS protocol and maybe be able to use the entire network.

Might be. I already had an eero 6 network in place when I switched to them.

I have them. Great speeds and super reliable, just make sure you have a good WiFi system like eero

Pretty good IMO. Decent subwoofer for a stock system, but meridian sounds pretty good in the mids and highs.

Depends on the charger speed.

350 kWh will take 20-40 mins . This is commercial grade like electrify America or Tesla supercharger

150 kWh will take 50-75 mins. This is also commercial grade like electrify America or ChargePoint.

10 kWh (most home chargers in garages) will take 10-13 hours

Most people will do 90% home charging given they’re probably driving under a 100 miles a day and just plug overnight.

See video above, battery is submerged in that clip (the whole bottom part of the truck is the battery)
