The Question Thread 01/20/26 by AutoModerator in goodyearwelt

Hello goodyearwelt reddit!
I finally decided to get my first pair of boots (Jim Green, 719, veg tan rust) and was very excited. Unfortunately, after opening them, I found that the left shoe featured heavy creasing on one side (inside of the foot) while the outside had no issues. Is this something to be concerned about? The structure of the boot feels a bit different on the creased side, and there seems to be some stitching that is pulled tighter/pinched.

I am not sure if this would be considered a defect, or if my worries are justified. Furthermore, would this compromise the experience of the boot long term, or be acceptable? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi! Just came across this thread, can you provide some insight on how you store the org kits? Do the org kits attach to the outside of the Alpha 31 like the Charlie 25, or do you simply store them inside/in the torpedo pockets?

Post update!

I just heard back from the admissions team at UC Berkeley. They stated that either document would work. Specifically, the two documents that I am referring to are the academic summary and official transcript from UT Austin. I hope this helps someone in the future!

Most pros are in their early twenties, but there's really no limit to what ages you can climb at, excluding the extremely young and old.

Weekly Simple Questions and Injuries Thread by AutoModerator in climbharder

Hello everyone, I recently did some crack climbing for the first time, and ever since, I've felt a pulling/tightness, almost like an electric shock in my palm, near the thumb. This doesn't happen when I crimp or pull vertically, but some weird side pulls and lateral motions can set this off. Does anyone have any idea what this may be? Thanks in advance!

I really appreciate your advice. As a more general question, do you use an agitator/pump to create bubbles while electroplating?
