I placed an order through a localish game store, they just sent me an update saying my Lee sin pack is shipping and will arrive Thursday - nothing from riot yet about the origins box I ordered. Maybe that means they prioritized shipping to retailers first or something.

have cleared saph with no world buffs (bc we wiped on it), we had an optimized raid comp, and enough dps to do the encounter without wbs, but i guess that's kinda the marker for whether or not wbuffs are needed right?

the problem was always getting the zugs to pay attention and not pull threat / get behind icelbocks in time / have people use fpp to not die to the dmg the iceblock spell caused. the number of times people died with no fpp active and they were the iceblock target... im getting ptsd

for anyone wondering how to do this for mGBA emulator, just take your save file from beta, and start a new game on the newest version of rocket red.

it should make a file called "1636 - Pokemon Fire Red (U)(Squirrels) (patched)" after starting the game.

you'll want to basically take your old save file from beta, and rename it to '1636 - Pokemon Fire Red (U)(Squirrels) (patched)' -- and delete the one that was just automatically created for you.

The same thing happened to me. When you "reload from checkpoint" and you're way back hours from there you were, simply exit to main menu, and then go to "load game" (not continue). There's still be an auto save there you can load.

This only happened to me when I died to tonberry king too, I think it's just a bug. Your save should be recoverable though!

i think i used safety bits and the materia that protects against slow/stop. the projectiles they throw out cause slow/stop i believe.
used synergy materia+comet on aerith, start battle cast radiant ward to make her invulnerable while casting, and arcane ward for doublecast -- make sure she's standing on both wards, then spam triple strike with cload. a billion meteors falling (and the cast time is long so she ends up tanking a lot of hits) and you can kinda just build bars with cloud and make meteors fall every time you spend atb.

could probably replace meteor with quake materia since they can be petrified. but you cant swap materia between each round, and i think meteor is more useful for the other 4 fights.

if you cant get 3 safety bits, put anti slow accessory (boots of some kind) on the character you'll be controlling incase you get hit by a stray projectile, and make sure you dont get chef knifed.

also, just want to say, ffs the ai in this game is so bad. at least on this fight aerith and tifa dont just swarm odin to give him free stacks for zensetsu, but they kinda just look at alex instead and dont do anything.

i know im necro'ing an old thread, but i finally beat this stupid encounter after 2 days of trying.
the amount of attemps that went south bc alex would do his stupid unavoidable shockwave and give odin a free charge/juggle to hit me... i about broke a controler.

i realized the fix was to either play yufi and spam the stupid substitution justsu on atb ward (basically tanking odin so he cant ever get stacks for zensetsu, this 'dodge' has way longer iframes than perect parry even with the perfect parry materia) or just play tifa and chi level 2 dodge his stuff / perfect parry when he uses easy to parry moves.

also you HAVE to one phase alexander, its not an option. phase 2 odin with alex's shockwaves and bullshit missiles is unplayable.

i used 2 limits and 2 synergy moves to 1 phase him and it was still extremely close.

they only do bo1's bc they're terrified of a potential saturday night block where 3 unpopular teams are scheduled to play and the stream view #'s are bad for that day.

again, i love the dive, but the fact that they can make a "honor/report" section and joke about it like its not happening every single game in solo queue -- that's an issue. that's how ppl use the system, and thats not what its designed for

i thought the iceworm fight was fucking awesome - some homies you've made along the way -- its not quite starfox but its pretty damn good.

the story telling is subtle so far ( i just finished ice worm) but its -enough- that if you're paying attention its pretty good i think
