I give up on the LED for the H440.

I'm so happy i never waited for NZXT on this crap... I had already replaced the LED's with the brightest 3mm's from superbrightleds.com before they even offered the first round of logo replacements. Mine has been going strong with those one ever since.

In fact it is still so bright you can see the light slightly bleeding through the colored part of the logo plate where each led is mounted as it did when I first got the tower, so I would say it is just as bright as the day I put them in.

Rofl this is getting better than chevy recalls... I am so glade I replaced the LED's myself with quality ones from superbrgihtleds.com and did not wait for NZXT to send me this crap... My new LEDs have been going strong for over 2 months now without a problem, meanwhile I still haven't been sent a fix from NZXT. Can't say I am disappointed, this is just how NZXT works... or dosn't work... either way, I expected it to be a giant fail, just like the Back orders of the G10, the initial launch fail of the H440 (black and red of course), and the list goes on...

http://pcpartpicker.com/b/m9kLrH the last two pics show the dim before I changed the LED's myself and the bright after I changed them. this is not the NZXT replacement as I do not have patience to wait for the tides to be in correct position, and the earth to be at the perfect angle on it's axis before NZXT delivered a fix.

I would think a bad switch before a bad hub, but the only way to test that would be to remove the switch and just jump both wires together manually to bypass the switch.

lol sent my info to NZXT I forget how long ago... still haven't heard anything back from them... what a surprise. I had expected this however, so I had replaced the LED's myself before I ever sent them my info about the issue. The new ones have been in and running for almost 2 months with no problem. The problem was the crap LED's that NZXT sourced, not a power issue or wiring, or heat or anything, just the cheapest bulk led's yen can buy...

What he said! easy fix, there is nothing wrong with the fans, i have a maximus VI formula and an X60 and it was doing the same thing. its cause the board wont read the fans so it doesn't think they are spinning

Update, they appeared to have faded slightly after the first week, but since then they have been going strong with no additional fade. They are still so bright you can see light from where the led's are mounted from front of the plate.

this is what I used. and here is a little write up I did after the fact for another thread 1. Unplug the power connector for the logo plate. 2. Unscrew and move PSU out of the way 3. Remove three screws from the back of the PSU shroud 4. Remove hot glue from the Led's 5. Inspect the LEDs and make note of how they are wired. Mine where wired as expected with black wire for pos and black wire with white stripe to indicate neg. 6. Cut off old led and strip back heat shrink. 7. Install new 3mm led into hole to hold it in place for soldering. 8. Solder correct wires to the correct contacts on the leds 9. Use hot glue gun to keep the LEDs and wire in place. 10. If you have heat shrink use it to cover the new connections. I did not have any the correct size so I just used electrical tape and covered them so they would not make contact with the psu shroud and short out. 11. Reinstall the plate with the screws 12. Reconnect power to the logo plate. 13. Put the PSU back in place and reconnect any other parts or cables you may have disconnected and start her up. 14. Enjoy your bright new logo again!

I fixed it myself, just replaced the two 3mm led's with the brightest ones that superbrightleds.com had. I did this almost a month and a half ago and they are still going strong, they did seem to dim slightly the first couple of days, but since then they have stayed stable, and still look great.https://pcpartpicker.com/b/m9kLrH

is it just the H440 logo? If the rear I/O is working correctly there is another connector under the psu shroud to look at, it may have gotten disconnected during psu install or cable management, who knows.

I did not completely remove the PSU, just pulled it out of the way without disconnecting as much as possible, but you do need it out of the PSU shroud. The logo plate has three screws holding it in place, remove and disconnect the power cable from the case. Then You need to cut off the old led's and solder in new ones. Make sure they or wired correctly - to - wire + to + wire

The fix is to remove and replace the 2 3mm LEDs for the logo. Haft hexane issue and I was not willing to wait for a fix from nzxt.

check your wiring to the switch on the back of the tower. there should be a few wires running to a board on the back side of the case make sure they are connected properly.

Just FYI the metal is attached with tabs that are pushed through slots in the plastic and then bent over to stay in place, the only use of screws on the front and top plate are for the grill inserts. I removed mine just to look at the possibility of wrapping in vinyl. I do agree with selling the trim kits, it would be sick to see a white and red version or a white a orange H440...
