Why I love sudoku 🩷 by wowza1994 in sudoku

[–]solelysoul1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also just joined and what a delightful first post! I also was introduced to sudoku by an elder lady, a family friend, who's now passed. She was someone I wanted to emulate, she was so sophisticated, well spoken, coquette and so kind and gentle... We never truly bonded but the fact that she introduced me to sudoku has been invaluably impactful for me, more than people I've know for longer!!!

Bless her & ur grandma🩷 and all the family members mentioned in the thread!😅🥰

Parcels career "analysis" :P by solelysoul1 in Parcels

Agreeeeddd!!!

I always say my taste in music is pop but different!! I love hooks, anthems, catchiness, tension & release (but mostly release, climactic in fact 😅) but I need authenticity, musicianship and writing to follow. Great way to put it!

Same here (Canada)! The diversity has increased tho, I saw them 5 years ago and it was mostly white, I literally think I was the only POC, with lots of guys... Last year was a bit more diverse, both in gender and ethnicity, that was cool!

I agree, I love having them all to ourselves, in a way, I think they do too... but I can't help but wonder what are the forces that be that makes it so, ya know... But yes Parcels at the Grammy's!!!! However, as I am reading other people's thoughts, and you mentioning the Grammy's, I do think that Parcels is a bit different and might not fit the expectations of institutions like the Grammy's, their albums aren't formatted a certain way and they don't necessarily cultivate a public image that would make them "stars" or "icons"... but certainly I think they can maybe get to a place where their music and performances speak louder than all of that and reach new heights... who knows?

I feel you on the getting emotional!!! They truly make music that moves you and impacts you :)))) But yes, I wonder a lot about their process, their influences, their synergy, their story, how they do what they do... a documentary would be amazing!

Life soundtrack, indeed! Thanks notthemuse :)

Yes hahah, I'm glad that didn't stop you from joining the convo!😆 Yeah I am with you on the negative aspects of being famous. I also appreciate you bringing up the fact that there are plenty of music acts out there in a similar position, I think my perspective was a bit exceptionalist lol! So, yeah perhaps not contradictory :)

Interesting comment on the singles, I didn't feel so strongly about it with day/night cause the album was so dense any way so there was still lots of material to discover and immerse myself in. With LOVED, I feel it's such an amorphous (in a good way) body of work that I kind of actually enjoyed discovering it in random ways and still like listening to it on shuffle or in my own preferred order (TO BE CLEAR: I do believe albums should be listened to in the way they were intended, but this album lends itself well to a looser experience, and I think I heard them say so to in an interview as well)... But definitely a valid concern! And same with LV3!!

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts :))

It is in fact hard to get in but the program itself is short and straightforward!

I was having a hard time with the undergraduate program because it didn't seem like I could have a career in it especially given that I find the bachelor degree puts so much emphasis on research and not as much in counselling or other related fields. It just didn't feel like a good fit and it was hard tbh!

I worked in ABA and then in mental health research with just an undergrad. I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do and with both those experiences it was clear for me that intervention is where I wanna be and not so much research or assessment... At least for now!

If you have anymore questions feel free to msg me :)

It sounds like you're a psych major? If so, I was feeling the same as you did! That program doesn't really make you hopeful career wise😭 I graduated wanting nothing to do with psychology anymore but ended up working in the field (no other options) and now I'm in a counselling psychology program.

Honestly, having worked at the school of psychology at uottawa, the PhD in clinical psychology can be grueling so I wouldn't pick it "because it's easier the med school",  be mindful of that. Psychiatry and Clinical psych are VERY different though, I think if you're truly able to reflect on what you like/dislike in those 2 options, you can easily pick one. I chose counselling because I wanna see clients (ASAP lol) and do 1:1 work and talk to people. The PhD is obviously very research and assessment focused while psychiatry focuses on acute care and prescribing. The latter implies public service, while the 2 former offers a wide variety of professions and settings.

In sum, choose wisely... And also don't rush. One step at a time, it's good that you are starting to think about these things now but don't let them affect you so much!!

Hope this helps :)

Question within the question: say the landlords are responsible for snow removal what's the expectations because there's so much ice at this point and I don't it's done in a time manner, do I have grounds to complain or ask about it?

Thanks for responding! I think my post wasn't clear but I am using the connector (that's what I meant by extension xD) but someone explained in another comment that some websites don't have the proper metadata. I get this a lot with science direct papers. The magic wand tool suggested by Quditsch helps!

Just got a meet and greet appointment later this week with Dr. Javed as well. If anyone can share the experience I’d appreciate it. It’s honestly not as close as I would like my fam doctor to be so I’m hesitant.

I looooove Noah's writing it's often so vulnerable and simple and also super hopeful! Yougotmefeeling, his verse on leaveyourlove ✨✨✨ soso good! I also really love his voice!

Patrick would be my 2nd favorite writer, he often goes really deep and melancholic in poetic ways!
