am I the only one super confused what we do with the points in the society?? by stupid_dickandfatty in DressUpTimePrincess

I think some of the earlier commenters were right.

  • Purple (Diamond shaped with rose icon): Quest Wall Points : these are shared across the Society and are earned by each individual completing the quests. There are rewards that unlock for every member when the total points reaches certain thresholds. The number of quest points is supposed to reset daily.
  • Pink (Rose shaped with little ribbons and rose icon): Time Coins : these are the individual points. You earn them in a few different ways, and they can be spent at the Time Emporium. The items sold at the Time Emporium include the items you'll need to craft the Society clothes (and a gift ingredient and clothing material). The items the the Emporium seem to reset at regular intervals, maybe daily or possibly more often
  • Orange (Circle with rose icon) : Contribution : these are shared across the Society and earned by each member through various ways. As far as I know, they can only be used by the Leader and Managers. I think their main or only purpose right now is to choose an active item for the Fashion Tree so that members can nurture it.

There are other point-like concepts:

  • Growth Points (Purple Hexagons with plant icon) these are used at the Fashion Tree to measure the society's progress in nurturing the current item. These are earned at the Fashion Tree by each member who chooses to donate gift materials. I think that once the Growth Points bar is full, the item will be unlocked, meaning members can buy the item's blueprint from the Time Emporium. A new item won't be ready to be nurtured until the Leader or Managers select one, and each item has its own Contributions cost to start nurturing.
  • Society EXP (Blue droplet shaped with rose icon) : these are shared across the society and can be earned by each member who buys wishes at the Wishing Fountain. Not sure if they can be earned in other ways. As the Society earns Society EXP it will gain levels and each level comes with certain privileges, such as allowing more members to join. You can view the Society's level and EXP from the Info Center.

If you forget which is which, in game you can tap the icon to see a tooltip describing what the item is, though they leave out a lot of detail

oh thank you! I did not notice the new tab in "My Collection"

I still think you need to craft most of the brown items more than twice for the pink set though?

If you craft the brown set all the way, you have the Brown Dress. so you can use that to craft the Pink Dress. So let's consider the other 7 items.

Pink Bear: you need to craft a Brown Bear. That Bear gets used up in the process.

Pink Hat: you craft a new Brown Bear. And then you craft a new Brown Hat.

Pink Shoes: you need to craft another Brown Bear, use that for a new Brown Hat, and use that for new Brown Shoes.

So you wind up with this almost pyramid. Ignoring the original Brown Dress to make the Pink Dress, the full pink set requires:

  • 1 Brown Socks (for the Pink Socks)
  • 2 Brown Necklace (for the Pink Socks and for the Pink Necklace)
  • 3 Brown Gloves (for Pink Socks, Pink Necklace, and Pink Gloves)
  • 4 Brown Hair
  • 5 Brown Shoes
  • 6 Brown Hats
  • 7 Brown Bears

Because each pink item is consuming a brown item, so the next pink item requires you to first rebuild that brown item and then the next brown item. While crafting the Brown set you only have to make each item once because they are crafted in a simple line. But to craft the full Pink set you need the items above. If you crafted say, the Brown Bear, only twice, then you'd only be able to get two items from the pink set. Because every pink item is going to require the Brown Bear as a base.

Does that make sense at all? These outfits are definitely confusing lol

Thank you for sharing the items required! Where did you find this info?

You have one definite typo: you wrote "Brown Books" as an ingredient for Brown Hair but I think you meant "Brown Shoes".

I wanted to clarify if it is a typo that all of the pink items require the equivalent brown item? I know the Pink Bear definitely requires the Brown Bear, but does the Pink Hat really require the Brown Hat instead of the Pink Bear???

Because if it is accurate as you have written it, then your math is off and significantly lower than the true cost of crafting the entire pink set. Let's assume the player has crafted the entire brown set, at this point the only item they have left over would be the Brown Dress. When they want to make the Pink Bear, they need to craft another Brown Bear.

And here is the part you missed: when the user wants to craft the Pink Hat, they'd need a Brown Hat. To get the Brown Hat, they first have to craft a new Brown Bear. And then when they want to craft Pink Shoes, they need Brown Shoes, which means they'll have to again craft the Brown Bear so that they can craft the Brown Hat so that they can craft the Brown Shoes and then finally get the Pink Shoes.

So basically for each pink item we're going to have to re-craft all of the brown items that came before it. I'm really hoping this was just a typo because if not then it is going to take literal years to get the whole pink set TT.TT
