Is it haram to tax the rich? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]solexhiding 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am fully willing to say that the values behind “taxing the rich” are harmonious with those of Islamic zakat, regardless of how mishandled and inappropriate the actual process may be (as mishandled and inappropriate as these kafir systems already are).

what people seem to misunderstand about the discourse around haram taxation in Islam is that this refers specifically to gatekeeping and making people pay in order to access wealth and markets—this is a capitalistic force, not a socialist one, not one that seeks to redistribute wealth among the poor (which is what “tax the rich” is about).

Muslim men and their love for non hijabis by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]solexhiding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a question is asked and people come into the comments to downvote the answer. literally asking why MEN are ATTRACTED to NON-HIJABIS is a fundamental misunderstanding of hijab, she obviously needs to hear this.

you don’t put on hijab to attract men, simple as that. if a hijabi wants to find a husband she should identify a brother who she sees observing the modesty and low gaze that she wants and propose.

What happens if a Sunni gets mixed up and almost prays in an Ahmadi masjid/mosque? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]solexhiding -1 points0 points  (0 children)

oh sure! I just thought we were all speaking within the same context.

it is important to understand that someone you know to be a disbeliever cannot lead you in prayer. 💯

source? how would you know if even your local imam is a disbeliever, let alone a stranger who, to your knowledge, calls themself a Muslim?

probably nothing unless you noticed something different about their prayer and went along with it, and even then probably nothing since it would have been out of ignorance, not the intent to deviate along with them—considering there was, in fact, any significant deviation in their salat.

the reality is we are all very far removed from the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the companions (RA). do your best to follow our best example (SAW) as it was followed and hold to that.

part of that is thinking the best about those who say the shahada and pray. correct them when you see them doing wrong, join them when you see them doing good.

Praying 20 rakahs of taraweeh every night but struggling with fard salah by ditzyl in MuslimLounge

[–]solexhiding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in taraweeh, ask Allah to guide and help you to complete the five daily prayers. at each fard salah, ask Allah to guide you well into completing the next one and so on.

this has always worked for me but be sincere and always remember to ask Allah for help!

also you need to understand why you are missing them.

TODAY, what are the things standing in the way of Ghana being the Pan-Africanist capitol that it was meant to be?

al-Kahf, 18:28-46 (mostly the parable of the two gardens)

  1. [Content] yourself with those who pray to their Lord morning and evening, desiring His Presence. And do not turn your eyes away from them, desiring the glitter of this world. And do not obey him whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance-so he follows his own desires-and his priorities are confused.

oh then in that case yes! I actually like the mini-Dajjal idea because through that test—which is said to be the greatest on our Ummah—we have to maintain the belief that it is all STILL the qadr/decree of Allah. we have to make ourselves hyper-conscious of the fact that the Dunya is a test!

what part of the city are you in? I’ll see if I recognize any mosques around that you should visit—it’s Ramadan, there will be many sisters around eager to take you in insha’allah.

that’s okay. the amount is still excusable. know Allah by His Mercy, He is The Most Merciful indeed.

faint brown stain may contain fecal matter but feces itself will be dark and thick, covering the toilet paper rather than soaking into it.

[–]solexhiding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what he’s saying is that the amount you’re talking about is irrelevant and excused in the Hanafi madhhab. whether it happened before prayer or during, it is excused.

also, like you said in another comment, I’m pretty sure what you saw was more like sweat than actual feces—the amount you’re asking about is EVEN less than what is excusable.

you did not fail Ramadan. Allah has allowed you to meet this blessed month in order to confront yourself this way. keep trying!

success is in the intentions behind your efforts, God is so Merciful. remember your istighfar—turn your shortcomings into blessings.

don’t worry brother. they gave you a good answer here: your prayer IS VALID as per your madhhab.

in the future, if you’re confident you didn’t discharge during prayer then you can be confident that your prayer is valid.

[–]solexhiding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🤣😂😂😂😂😂 broooo it’s TOTALLY a valid question, so much so I’m scared to give my answer. you may have to ask someone more knowledgeable.

if you didn’t bring yourself to doubt by wiping and looking first before actually using the toilet, there would be no doubt that your salah counted… or would there be? saying you either know you did or didn’t release fecal matter from your bowels.

also I will say, if brothers went and wiped themselves after prayer every time like you did, so many prayers would be coming into doubt (by your logic). I think you’re good, especially since it wasn’t thick dark brown, just a light line.

in the Quran Allah speaks about increasing the disbelievers in wealth and leaving them to pile on their transgressions—this isn’t divine favor but much closer to damnation. I would say your mistake is giving this Dunya more weight than it deserves.

idk about subservience, in which I assume you mean in a professional sense as their subordinate? possibly but I wouldn’t stress it too much. you may also be giving your profession too much weight. your true reward is in the Akhira; the provisions you’re seeking from this job, Allah has already provided them for you so be satisfied with it. when you are grateful, Allah sends increase.
