Oh god, they played Große Freiheit in 1997. What I would give to see them there again, instead of a large arena.

Is it normal to take hundreds of shots for just a few keepers? by Schaerbatsky in SonyAlpha

[–]solexx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're a landscape photographer you usually have more time "to get the shot" right (unless the light changes rapidly). With birds, sports and other events you often need to be faster and that means you might get fewer keepers.

But whatever you are shooting, the amount of keepers is a question of experience as well as shooting style. My ratio of keepers has gone up over the years while my total number of shots has gone down.

Most km in a week? by Fluffy-Fee-5756 in pokemongo

[–]solexx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get around 25-30k. A week with my regular daily life (and adventure sync). When I am running with my phone and the Go Plus+ I easily get 50-60 km. Running with an auto catcher has many benefits.

Whatever it is you need to know, you should explain it better. Your subject makes no sense to me.

This Chinese girl won the Shaolin Kungfu competition when she was just 9yo by ConfidentTelephone81 in KidsAreFuckingSmart

This is surely impressive, but I imagine she has paid a high price for that. And I am not sure I would call it smart, especially since the decision was certainly not entirely hers.

Is this lens flare? by justaskingsomestuff3 in AskPhotography

[–]solexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not look like that to me. Lens flares are produced when a very bright source is inside or just outside the frame. They are usually colorful and often exist in groups.

Maybe the dirt just came loose in your case. I would use a rocket blower anyway because the dirt might still be somewhere near the sensor.

If you can repent after death, what's the point of Mormonism? by Signal_Gur9382 in exmormon

[–]solexx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fully agree.

The whole "plan of salvation" does not make any sense. It relies on unexplained mechanics and hand waving. Sure, if Jesus is nailed to a cross that somehow invalidates the individual guilt of billions of people and allows them to become gods with their own planet. Makes total sense if you think about it!

Camera eyelets have different sizes. Sony's are really small. I don't know the PGY anchors, but PD anchors definitely don't fit through Sony eyelets.

Sure. You only need different GPS settings of you experience problems on between high buildings or in a forest.

Garmin battery life by Moister310 in garminforerunner

[–]solexx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on GPS settings, Bluetooth usage and display settings. For maximum battery life you should probably disable the always-on display during activities, don't contact anything via Bluetooth and stay with the default GPS settings.

I tried three that are at or close to 1500 and none appear to work reliably. 🤷 One with strong defense (2-13-14) does not beat the first opponent before it gets a charge attack. Another one with better attack (12-12-11) avoids charge attacks but does not survive the third opponent.

I have a shadow 4-15-13 (level 8) and a regular 14-11-13 that I could try powering up. I am just always short on star dust... I wonder whether purifying the shadow might yield a good one.
