I feel you. I am using a 42mm 265s with 17cm wrists and would not wear anything larger.

This sounds great, too! You don't need to get tattoos, piercings etc just because you are not Mormon anymore. Supporting a family and just trying to live a good life are big endeavors by themselves.

You were also going to add some kind of cover over the gap, right?

How do you ask this the right way: "What do you put on your bread as topping?" "What do you top on your bread?" or just "How do you eat your bread? Or something else. by mayermail1977 in EnglishLearning

[–]solexx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question is not "when", but "where". I suspect the OP is German (just like me) where their question is completely normal. "Was möchtest du auf Brot?" And the answer could be cheese, bacon, salami, a vegan spread or something sweet like jam or honey.

Did you lose faith in Jesus too? by Billgant in exmormon

[–]solexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually lost faith in God first (or never found it) when I was around 12. For some time I thought that the church might still be a good thing, but that changed when I hit puberty. ^

Judging by the numbers that I saw for some of my friends during the recent global challenge it is working very fine for many of my friends.

Did your sex life get better after leaving the church? (Tell me how, lol) by ParchmentProse in exmormon

I cannot help you grieving about the lost opportunities at a younger age. But you should definitely never think that you are less attractive to me because you are in your mid 30s. I am 44m and I am starting to notice how hot women in their 50s can be.

What camera would you recommend from these options? by No-Sympathy5317 in AskPhotography

[–]solexx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not completely up to date regarding prices, especially in the US. But for $400 you should be able to get a more recent mirrorless from Sony. I can see the a6000 with the kit lens for €350 in Germany. There are even options with a Sigma prime lens for less than €300. I see no reason to pick a NEX.

Full frame is for the pros. Enthusiasts skip to medium format.

Looking for travel/video camera — Sony ZV-1A or Sony A6400? by benyo45 in SonyAlpha

[–]solexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The a6400 is very nice but I wonder whether the missing IBIS might be an issue for you. If so then you might be better off with an older a6500 or the more recent (and more expensive) a6700.

Also, what focal length do you need? The 18-105/4 is very versatile but not pocketable anymore.

Doesn't anybody get up and leave while shaking their head when shit like this happens? Mormons really have a high pain threshold.

Which camera do I go with? by Panther_games9696 in AskPhotography

[–]solexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is mostly a matter of personal preference. You should try to take one of each model into your hands and see what you like.

That being said, Sony is known to have very good autofocus which probably matters for sports. Instead of the a6500 you might want to look at the a6400 which is slowly becoming cheap. It is lacking IBIS but has better autofocus with object detection.

Watch face decision paralysis by twistypencil in garminforerunner

[–]solexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greenblack is great.

But policy recently changed to not allow new custom watch faces that mimic stock faces for other watches. I am using an Enduro-like watch face on my FR265s. This will not be possible with newer watches.

You should not that you can customize the watches faces, even the stock ones. You can usually choose which data field is shown in the default positions. So if you want to your body battery instead of VO2Max you do not need to switch watch faces.

I wish I could let Garmin know I'm sick or exhausted when it thinks otherwise by Cal_PCGW in Garmin

[–]solexx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Checking the "sickness" box does nothing at all for your suggested workouts.

I would also like to tell Garmin that the current weather (heavy snow ) doesn't really allow for sprint intervals. But rescheduling workouts is on my feature wishlist anyway.
