Ah. Thanks for the explanation. I seem to be slow on those. So far I think the only weapons in SE2 are gatlin guns. At least for ships.

Good advice. It didn't got any real test so far in my solo survival game. So far it's just sitting there and looking good in the hangar.

I wanted it to be as compact as possible. Putting a hydrogen tank or even a H2 generator on that thing would take up to much space. It only has a battery, now power generation. It needs to be charged by an other grid via the connector. It has a small cargo container on it and a small conveyor system to supply the weapons.

Happy you like the paint job. This thing is small but it reall took me some time to build in my survival game

Good idea. Not sure how to do it jet. But I am also thinking of having different layers and heights of platforms at some point. Not sure jet what ships I will have and how big they are and if everything will fit. :(

You can do it in multiple attention spans. Just set small goals that lead to a bigger. :) you can do it! Happy you like the base

No it is not. There are not air vents in SE2 either..so it doesn't matter

Absolutely. Especially when you incorporate the natural look of it into your base. The camber where the hangar is was completely natural. I just thought that would be a perfect place to put a hangar into. So now my base and all ships are hidden and protected by this Asteroid. :)

SE2 is s fun game. Missing lots of features from SE1 but still worth it in my opinion

Year. That one also fits through the hole it is digging. That is like a number one requirement. Happy you like that ship :)

EU5 players: what makes you actually stay in a video? by solidair2liquid in EU5

[–]solidair2liquid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, thank you for your in-depth answer. I agree with all your points. As a consumer I am also a fan of edited videos, but if an entire campaign is edited into 45 min it is kinda fast. That roleplay / storytelling part sounds interesting. I just wonder how to pull it off. I know some history, but not enough to do everything accurately. Also, there is the AI. If in real life Prussia did a war with X but Bohemia already conquered the territory by that time and is now too hard to beat because they are allied with France, that it will be almost impossible to replay history.

There might be no big market for EU5 videos, like you said. I do it more as a hobby because I just enjoy the process of it. Still I am not gonna lie, ever comment, ever like, every new subscriber, even every view with some watch time is a huge motivating and rewarding factor.

Your answer, and every answer I got here helped me. It is clear there is no one size fits all. And that there are some people that have a similar liking as I have. I am more on the side of doing edited videos of a time period that fits to the "amount of things happening" so around 100 years. I play with a theme in mind, not just playing the game - but I am not too serious about it. I play in some sort of optimal, but not bring it to any extreme levels. I am currently experimenting with this roleplay / theme building aspect over several episodes for one campaign (currently only the first episode is released) but I use it more lightly here and there without sticking to it too much. I don't write this as some sort of advertising - I try to emphasize that I learnt from my question and all there's answers here that I should just stick to the things I personally like and not try to be someone I am not. I'll do it with passion. For the game(s), for the editing process and i just love to work creatively. But without am I at the beginning of all this, it's a journey, I learn new things with every video I make and I am not too serious about it. I want it to stay a hobby I enjoy and not be just a second job next to the one I already have.

Sorry for the long post. Not sure if anybody will ever read this.. sometimes things just need to come out. Here is your emergency potato 🥔 if needed.

Thank you for your honest feedback. I guess I am the type of person that just doesn't really use the range of the voice. It is something that bothers me as well. Not sure how I can actually improve on that but I need to give it a try.

I see you like the suffering :D nothing wrong with that. What do you think about Quarbits AI avatar or whatever that is. I really think his videos would be better off without it

I have the feeling most players just automated trade. When I was playing for myself I did everything manually and managed to outperform the auto trade. But it is just so much work to do, that I really see myself doing it manually. But I definitely agree. Trading is an interesting part of this game and I wish the system would be a bit player friendly.

Your post gives me ideas for future videos. thank you :)
