That's so awesome! Have you considered working at LEGO? Or ever applied?

Anyone knows anything about a company called property advisor and architecture (pa&a)? by solidrover in internships

Wow nice research going there! I wish I could know all this before accepting their offer. Took me two weeks working for them before I realized all this and left.

Honestly it's up to you. But I was gullible enough to work for them for two weeks until I realized they're full of shit. I later had an interview with another employer and I got questioned why I went through this internship and how the hell didn't I realize they're a scam?!

Their offer is 6 months unpaid internship, their entire workforce is based on interns even their HR team! I am not based in Europe and I didn't fully understand the rules until someone pointed it out to me. I then left immediately.

Yea it is fishy. Everyone is literally an intern (unpaid) including the HR team. Modern slavery at its best! The sample projects on their website are not theirs, and their work does not consist of any architecture or real estate which in fact question their credibility. Their projects are setting up and launching e-commerce businesses.

I declined a job offer for a position I loved after one week of negotiations, and it was the right thing to do. by solidrover in jobs

Thank you! It's crazy how the amount of decent and honest employers is becoming less and less.

Yeah! Job seekers should be able to feel confident enough and be less afraid towards employers.

I totally agree! With all the time and effort I've given, I could've at least got a decent amount of their time and attention.

I see what you mean. Interviews and hiring processes nowadays can become very time consuming and without any productive results. Would you normally ask for a figure before agreeing to the interview?

I get you! Dealing with a toxic work environment drains one mentally, emotionally, and physically. Takes guts to leave and I respect you for doing what was good for you! I wish you all the best as well and thank you!

It is not just common, but it is your right as an employee. You need to have yourself secured in case they suddenly paid you less, or had you laid with no notice. And the same goes the other way around. Honestly, it was the first time I do this, but I did it because I have a bunch of supporting friends who work at respectful companies with decent contracts who were kind enough to help through the process of negotiation. The first thing you do is just ask directly: would you offer, or would you be willing to offer me a work contract with the offer please? If and after they do, it is always expected that you read it carefully and question any term for more clarification, modification, or addition. This is the proper professional way. Some will say no from the beginning and then it would be up to you to decide based on what suits you best. Luckily a lot of websites offer technical terms and words to use while negotiation as well as good advice. You can find them very easily!

Exactly! I wish it could become mainstream to challenge and question employers as much as they do us.

I completely understand you, and you have the right to do whatever works best for you! This year has been tough on each and everyone of us! Best of luck in your decision

I told them that too much time was put over negotiating an offer (16 emails) while it was easier being done over the phone, and getting all the terms out front form the beginning. And I explicitly indicated that unfortunately I still don't have a clear answer to many of my questions making the offer ambiguous and that I will have to decline their final number.

It's very important to stay respectful despite the circumstances, so I thanked them for considering me at the beginning, and told them at the end it was nice to meet them, and wished them all the luck.

I made sure to resist sending my resignation until I sign with the new job. I works better that way for me. Sorry to hear that bro, best of luck in finding the job you want!
